No disagreement that Landon is at the top or has been in years past. To suggest an all met player could not get playing time is silly. Many HS AA and top college recruits do not make All Met. Kids play club so they can compete at that level. If you list the best players to ever play in the DMV area Landon does not have a monopoly.

I totally agree. Landon definitely does not have that monopoly.

MoCo is the same, that comment is just a Landon parent being an a$$. Also, no chance Landon students are "frugal". It's a troll comment.

Find a school where your kid would be happy attending if they were not on the team of their dreams.

I've got three kids who played sports in the area in public school and various club programs. One was never that into it, one was a really outstanding athlete but chose not to play in college and one got recruited to play in the Ivy league. They each found their own way and did fine in the end. My advice - let your kids run their own race and don't get too stressed out by all of the other stressed out parents around you. The conventional path to play in college is private school and a club program. But it doesn't have to be that way. If your kid is good enough and loves the game, he or she will find a way. Your job is to help, but not to push him or her so hard that the kid starts to hate the game. That's the sure way to end the dream. The club programs and summer tournaments are expensive, but we saved money by staying in public school, and if your kid really loves it you'll find a way to make it work. One other piece of advice -- people on these message boards are really mean. Trying being nice to each other. Maybe the conversation will be less toxic.
