Agree with this!

(https://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/2075294-2018-wait-list-decisions-please-add-for-everyones-benefit-p5.html ) Chicago already has a 20-months running start to filling the class of 2023. These waitlists come with mandated gap year, so Chicago is pretty much guaranteed a relatively high USNews yield rate for the class of 2023. Also notable is almost no Ivy school appears to have gone to waitlist as of yet. Those who accepted the Chicago waitlist with a mandated gap year have very little overlap with HYPS. It's highly unlikely those who were accepted to HYPS would take the Chicago waitlist with a mandated gap year.

Yeah, the anti-UChicago trolling has gotten extreme if you guys are trying to tell us Charlottlesville is a comparable city to Chicago. Over 60 million people come to Chicago for vacation per year, contributing nearly $14 billion to the city. Why? Because Chicago has a tremendous amount to offer.
...
I think what's really driving the anti-UChicago trolling is that people there have been organizing big protests since January, when a professor there invited Steve Bannon to speak on campus. Either Bannon or one of his fans is probably planting a lot of these threads.
Maybe regular people then chime in, but the seeds come from the Bannonites.
Just between me and you, I think Chicago is superior. It might even be the center of the universe. It's one thing for Chicago to be the center of the known universe; however, it's downright hilarious to readers who don't give a hoot about who is the center of the universe. It's just absolute joy watching these hysterical fools insisting that they be recognized as such. Absolute joy.
