I'm not the biggest fan of either party. So, I am on the fence as to whether or not I'm going to vote for Hogan. However, not one of the Democrat candidates that are running against him appeal to me. It seems like people that I talk to are only against Hogan because they dislike Republicans, but that is not enough for me. No one can give me clear and concrete reasons as to why Hogan should not be reelected. Yes, he is lackluster and flawed in some areas, but so are the other candidates.
Democrats who are you voting for and why?

Hogan, who holds an A-minus rating from the National Rifle Association, endorsed creating a “red flag” law that would allow judges to temporarily order gun owners to surrender firearms if they are deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

He chose state authority over county to govern education. (Maintenance of effort fights). Local government knows it’s own needs best. There’s no way I want him as governor to run roughshod over the counties.
What are you referring to?
Clearly this PP is still bitter about Governor Hogan's executive order regarding the start and end dates of the school calendar in order to lengthen the summer season and taxable income from OC, Annapolis and Baltimore.
This is a hot topic and has a lot of people upset especially since spring break is being cut in some counties and days added to summer. Before the EO I did not hear so much grumbling about Hogan. There is a lot in play with 180 days, school calendars, unions etc. so I don't think Hogan has all the blame for the screwed up days. I think he is brining in a lot of business and jobs to our state. I think he's doing a good job overall and I hope he is re-elected.

Madaleno had nothing to do with Hogan's school calendar executive order, and was quoted as being against the order.
When will the state report on the economic benefit of the mandate? 'They' said data would be available by late fall...
Right. This was several years ago. Maintenance of effort.
