LIES! The Pres. went willingly. He wasn't dragged into anything. Pervs and racists stick together.

That's amazing. And despicable. The Dems really need to make some big wins by 2020, when the next census is conducted. We need a national consensus on legislative boundaries. Computers combined with non-partisan district drawing committees can easily solve this problem for us.

If black voters had not gotten out in great numbers and funded their own efforts to get on the ground and ensure African-American voters got registered and were not deterred at the polls then Roy Moore would be celebrating today. This victory for Doug Jones speaks volumes of why it is so important for white people to not simply shrug their shoulders and say, “Meh” about issues like gerrymandering and police intimidation at polling stations and insufficient equipment and staffing causing long lines at polling stations and biased voter ID laws...white people cannot afford to tolerate the existence of these forms of systemic racism that inhibit African-Americans from exercising their Constitutional right because voter suppression affects white folks too. Had the Black Belt in Alabama been suppressed like they usually are, had black grassroots organizations not put forth the energy and effort to make sure black voices were heard this Alabama Senate race would have had an entirely different outcome.

#BlackVotesMatter

Voter ID isn’t voter suppression. If there is voter suppression, it needs to be quelled immediately. I didn’t hear anyone complaining about the purged Brooklyn voters in last year’s primary but, that was Hillary v Bernie. And F Bernie amirite????

That's not what the Florida GOP said. Also not what the courts said about NC. But hey, if you really want ID, put your money where your mouth is. Every post office should be able to process a Federal Photo ID. Go for it.

But then how would citizens possibly make it over to the post office?? I mean, if they “can’t” manage to get to a DMV for their ID, surely they would also be unable to get to the PO, right? What excuse would liberals make then?

Nothing to do with Trump. You won against a pedophile and sensual assaulter by one lousy point, not much cause for celebration.

Sweetkins, you are a sore loser.

This is rich, coming from someone who probably lost a few teeth from gnashing them constantly after Trump won. DP, btw.

Everyone with a soul and an IQ above the median gnashed their teeth after the Russian puppet was installed.

The Russian puppet who supported a pedophile. Takes one to endorse one, I guess!

FYI. Do a little research. A Klansman was convicted fairly soon after the bombing. Because of technicalities on the evidence, Cherry could not be brought to trial until late '90s. And, FWIW, the power structure did care. It was never off the table.

Yes, the Deep South has a long and rich tradition of caring deeply about justice for black victims of terrorism. /s

So glad that Alabama chose a Senator it could be proud of!

BLACK LIVES MATTER!!

Know who doesn't? White lives in Waco. Right Bill?

? You are seriously wacked. You don't see the difference between the two situations? Why don't you put the blame on Waco where it belongs... on a crazy white man named David.

And, you cannot see that there can be two wrongs?

Of course the bombing of the church and the deaths of the four little girls was awful. We can all be grateful that justice was finally served. Jones and his staff did a great job on this. (Laws had changed which enabled this after so many years.)

Yes, David Koresh(sp?) was responsible. That does not excuse the fact that the government handled it poorly.

Yep, I see that the two wrongs there were all committed by evil white men - those who bombed the church, and a crazy white man who led his followers to their deaths.

Jones' election = Scott Brown election

two year term

not a sea change: bad candidate

You are making me laugh. Keep making excuses for why this isn't a huge deal. Sad!

Two years means TWO YEARS the republicans have one less person on their team and TWO YEARS the democrats are stronger fighting P45.

Go ahead and write it off as "it's only 2 years, big deal...", but coupled with the elections in VA, NJ, and elsewhere we are sending a message you cannot deny.

If you guys stop putting up bad candidates up for vote and more moderate Rs office, that will be enough of a sea change.

Apples and oranges, even if the government did handle Waco poorly.
