You are trying to hide behind the anonymity of the forum to disparage a highly respected advocate for the program and the kids. She was well liked by most students and parents. If you really are telling the truth, explain why they were unimpressed with the service she provided. Otherwise, I will assume you are a liar.
+ 1. I am sure people "not impressed with Hoover" did not have their students in the RMIB program.

Not that the new situation is any worse than the old one where the principal would never go along with Ms Hoover's ideas.
In general, while I didn't like Ms Hoover particularly, her vision of where the program should go is closer to mine.
While I do like the principal, I don't think he has his own vision for the program and that alone puts RMIB people off.
He just knew that MCPS was going to make BIG changes if Ms Hoover dug in and fought all change.
The BIG changes have started.
"I thought they now have 2 people instead of one...seems like they should be able to provide the same services?"

Anonymous wrote:MCPS moves people all the time and sometimes people want to be moved. School administrators are always moving around and changing, so just because they are moved doesn't mean they are bad. And you can't really change the "allocation" for school administrators. Each school gets a set number, but this situation is different. The school held a meeting a few weeks ago about the changes, and essentially even though he says it differently, the principal has taken the administrator/leader away from the program. My oldest child graduated from SMACS. RM no longer has a Mr. Ostrander. The new guy that was hired, he just sat there and didn't speak. The principal and the teacher did all the talking, and people from central office, and it wasn't very convincing. People left wondering why.

I know nothing about these players, I'm just saying I wouldn't conclude that she did something wrong just because she's not in MCPS anymore. She very well might have bailed as a form of self-preservation.
