^^ There are tons of how to videos on YouTube for the Revlon dryer.

This is OP checking in. I swear to you all this is not a scam and not marketing. I am a regular gal. I had been straightening my hair with the traditional hair dryer and brush method for years. Then flat ironing. The flat iron takes a toll after a while and my hair starts to look dry and crispy. With a toddler on the loose in the mornings I was looking for a way to speed up the process and I stumbled on this product, tried it and was amazed that it really worked.

I do wash my hair the night before and twist it up to sleep. In the morning it is damp but not wet. I use the tool the same way I do it with a dryer and brush. Hold a hunk of hair taught and go on the underside slowly from root to end. Do this a couple of times on the same hunk then pass it again but with a rolling motion on the underside. That gives some volume and gives a bit of a curl at the end. Now I am starting to think that we might need to do a video tutorial on YouTube. If Revlon has not done it that would be a good marketing tool - show tutorials for different types of hair.

I think I know what you mean....
I brush around with my head upside down for awhile (sort of like a normal dryer, you could just use one if you prefer)) to get the drying started. Once it's partially dry I start at one side more than halfway down my head (pull the rest of the hair back) and dry one section at a time, alternating top and bottom of the section and burshing from root to tip turning the dryer to create curl and the ends. Then I take new sections moving up and then over my head. I also use a styling product around my part to keep flyaways to a minimum.

I really don't think it is, but honestly, even if OP did post as a marketing scheme, tons of people on here have bought it and love it. I just this morning have a co worker I recommended it to email me saying she loved it and thanking me.

Yes, I have very thin, fine, limp, straight hair. I've never had volume like this EVER. It also lasts all day long. Love this thing! I let my hair air dry for a bit (doesn't take long because it's so thin), then when it's damp I use this. Gives me amazing volume in less than 5 minutes. Life changing (hair-wise)!

Does this thing work on 3b hair? I usually use a straightening brush but in that case I have to dry it or wait for it to dry. Would drying with this cut any time? And I definitely do NOT need any additional volume!

I finally caved and bought this after seeing it on here and reading a bunch of reviews and it is beyond amazing! It truly is a life changer for me with my very long very thick hair.

Haha, I get your skepticism but it's not, I'm not the OP, I posted on the other thread that this was the best tip ever on dcum, and I've been on here for 10 years. This has made blowing out my thick, wavy/curly hair so much easier. I suspect I'll have less luck in the summer heat because my hair will still frizz in the humidity but for the rest of the year this makes me so happy.

I don't get quite the shine I get with s salon blowout so for a really special event Id still go to a salon but for an everyday thing this is so great.

I ordered from amazon. It gave my fine limp hair volume. I'm just disappointed that I have only used it three times and the bristles are coming off!

NP. Count me as a believer. I bought it after reading this thread and just finished trying it out. My hair is shoulder length and thick. I have never been able to blow dry my hair without it taking a million years and looking like a child was operating the blow dryer.

This time it took 14 minutes from start to finish and looks closer to a salon blow out than it ever has (by far!).

Thanks, OP and everyone else for the recommendation!

Alright I'm another convert. Was skeptical but then amazon had it 20% off so I bought it. I have curly hair, it falls to about my scapulas. This morning I washed my hair and then used the dryer on it. From wet to salon quality blowout, 17 minutes flat. (I have a lot of hair though.) I've been texting all my friends pictures. This is literally as good as my hair looks from a salon blowout.

Here's why it works:

The air comes from the inside only so it doesn't get any of the yet-to-be dried hair while it's drying the chunk wrapped around it. This is an issue with blow dryers for me - the surrounding still wet hair frizzes from radiant hot hair. Not with this.

The thing is wide so it can do large chunks of hair at a time. The bristles are tight enough to really get a locked in tight pull on the hair to get it straight even at the root while also not snagging or tangling.

Because you don't have to wield a dryer and a brush awkwardly with both arms, you can use both hands to guide this thing which allows you to twist and turn it easily for volume and to pull the hair up HIGH even in the back to get the volume and again to get all the way to the root.

My hair is full, bouncy, tons of volume and no hint of kink or frizz. Literally cannot believe such a humble looking tool can do this. Next time it goes 20% off I'm buying two more to keep as backups for when this one inevitably dies in case they stop making it.

Anonymous wrote:So finally, I bought this and used it. I like the way it works but I need suggestions on how to tame my hair. what product should I use along with this to give me a shiny/polished look? I am not looking for a product to weigh my hair down..just something to smooth it and remove the frizz..Thanks

Oribe supershine moisturizing creme.

Thank you. I am the pp who asked this question. Do you or anyone else have more suggestions? This seems to be very expensive. I am looking for something under 20$ as I am on tight budget. Thanks again.

I use this for the same reason, I LOVE it, and it's cheap and CVS sells it too:

https://www.amazon.com/OGX-Argan-Moisture-Miracle-Fluid/dp/B01CTRNI32/ref=sr_1_25_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1494602013&sr=8-25&keywords=ogx+argan

You can put it in your hair either dry or wet. I apply to wet hair out of the shower, then let my hair dry naturally for a bit so it's just slightly damp, then I use the Revlon magic stick, and my hair is soooo soft and smooth afterwards. I have a breakage problem, and although my hair is mostly naturally straight, it looks "fuzzy/frizzy". I've tried so many expensive serums, and I love this one the best.

I've also heard raves about "It's a 10" serums. I'm also going to give that a try some time, but it's pretty pricey.

It's really amazing how much the texture of my hair, and overall look, has changed (for the MUCH better) after using this serum and the Revlon thing.
