1D has sold a lot of albums as well. . i think what kanye did back then was just so wrong, it garnered her attention so ppl outside of the tween audience own up to listening to her. Thats a big step forward.

I think Kanyes original attack on her, the scorn for Rihanna, who lets face it is head and shoulders more beautiful than pretty much any female celebrity, is all tinged with racial frustration. i mean Taylor Swift's behavior at this point is one giant microagression- she is acting like she's the typical racist white person from 1955 who'd never have the bad manners to say anything rude to a colored person but who certainly doesn't think they are her equals and also is appalled and taken aback at how crass and ill bred they are.
Why bring race into it? Why can't they just be people who dislike each other and disagree about what happened and why?

And she is allowed to not want to be friends with Kanye and Kim and not have it be about race. They ARE toxic. They ARE publicly harassing her in order to maintain their own relevancy. Kanye tweeted about hoping someone (TS) would sue him over the Famous video and was bummed when no one did! It's not a good friendship or situation for her. She is allowed to want to opt out and have them stop talking about her publicly and not be called a racist because of it.

I am a big TS fan but isn't this her schtick lately?
Her and Calvin talk privately about keeping her involvement on that Rihanna song on the DL and then she's whining to the media about him not crediting her. Her and Kanye talking "privately" about her being name dropped on the song, and then she is crying to the media about not knowing. Kim is a LOT of things, but kudos for her for recording a conversation that she figured might be handy down the line.

I don't like the song personally but he gave her an opportunity to give her feedback, to say she didn't like it but she did not. After the song was released she publicly, very publicly denounced it. She posed as the victim to the bad black man once again.
The one making this about race is YOU. If Kanye were white he would still be creepy. If Rihanna didn't know that he was putting her nude likeness in the video it is creepy.
If someone did that to YOU, you would be pissed off and rightfully so.
No way did Taylor know what this finished song was going to be and no way did she expect a disgusting video like that. Good grief, who on earth would expect something like that from another artist?
I don't know, anyone even vaguely familiar with Kanye's past work? TS took issue with the song well before the video came out. And she is not taking issue with him singing that he made her famous or that they might have sex (that's directly from her own words).
