And ever few weeks, I get a very nice compliment along the lines of, "Oh, I love your car! Did you guys move here from the Midwest?" ? Yup. And we even bought it with the GM friends and family discount. But I don't care. My car is awesome.
Haaaa this is so funny to me. I once worked with a guy from wisconsin. He drove an old American sedan. He would always comment at how shocking it was to him that no one drives American cars here. We don't because they are junk. Japanese will last for 20 years. You see a 10 year old American sedan, and it's likely a meth head drivig it.
Anyone driving a 10-20 year old car is piss broke.

This is so wrong. Growing up in DC the oldest money families drove the oldest, most inconsequential cars. It was quite common to se 10 year old grand squire wagons. It was all the new money families with the flashy rides.

Anonymous wrote:Omg who actually buys a Range Rover. They're so expensive to maintain. Everyone leases them! And what single guy owns a RR ... that's a family car for a fancy SAHM of elementary age kids. She weighs less than 100 lbs and works out 7 days a week.

I guess most technically I am soccer mom. But I think I'd rather be lesbian, for the purposes of car selection (or that one random night in college but that's a whole other thread). Ugh. I hate cars and driving.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:So for those who actually like driving, what car would you recommend that is manual, rear wheel drive, handles well, good brakes, comfortable interior that isn't a jerks car?
Mini Cooper.
Ugh, no way. Minis have the least comfortable interior I've experienced, and this is coming from someone who spent years on the road with a different rental each week.
I mean, I've dissed on BMW in this thread but I ain't blaming you in the least if you buy a 2 series because that car is awesome.
