Its a death of shame. Total shame.

So we aren't allowed to mourn? GTFO.

Weather channel app has it when you first open or when you slide between your selected cities.

It is amazing how music really does have the power to make us all feel connected. Take care everyone!

The only upside has been all the positivity and love. Loved seeing buildings all over the world lit up purple, and all the songs on the radio. Open your weather app too- the forecast is rain today and the background is purple rain.

I had to check this, seeing that really warms my heart

On what device/app does this show up for weather??

Aw man they changed it. It was on Weather Channel app, I took a screenshot of it: http://imgur.com/bZ8J2Pm

I've never been a fan but wow, he did so much for music. Another one gone far too early.

What is up with 2016?? I'm starting to wonder who will be next.

I am too. I'm sadder about this than I have been about any other celebrity death.

+1 I was still in disbelief yesterday but it's sunk in today. I am really really going to miss Prince.

My family watched Purple Rain twice last night on VH1 and the kids were actually interested in the plot. DH and I thought it was cute, no one know the plot of Purple Rain, you watch for the performances!

According to TMZ, Prince OD'ed on percocet.

He was allegedly taking it for hip surgery in 2010, and ongoing pain (or addiction to the pain med)
