Can you hear yourself whining? A few months of gym in a trailer, particularly in the cold winter anyway, isn't going to hurt anyone. Will it? My kid had gym in a trailer most of the year and she's no worse for wear. I've parked on the street and walked 5 minutes and I'm still alive. IT'S JUST NOT AS HARD AS YOU'RE MAKING IT SOUND. And the whining is so annoying.

No, I didn't. Some people here are claiming that the CIP process is turning people against each other, but I think it's the inherent awfulness of a sizable percentage of North Arlingtonians that turns them against South Arlingtonians.
Oh. Ok.
SALA finds that depressing.

Aren't they just going to be in trailers at Tuckahoe anyway? So what's the biggie about being in a trailer at McKinley for 3 months instead of 9, if McKinley is where they're ultimately headed anyway?
I'm a McK parent. And you are correct that they will be in a trailer at either place. But at Tuckahoe, at least they will have a gym, a field, parking, and a smaller overall student body.

Anonymous wrote:I just want to say one more time, this is one of the reasons I don't think the delay on McKinley's construction is a big deal. Three months in trailers before moving into the new facilities isn't going to kill anyone, and it could bring the kids together in a kumbaya sort of way. A lot of kids have it much, MUCH harder, and I'm frankly not bothered that some kids have it easier because I love our school and our community.
