Clueless and neuronless. Only a fool needs this information to reach a tenable conclusion. By the same token you do not need to provide us with your scores ... only a fool would spot you even slightly below average intelligence. Spare us, we don't need to see your numbers. That's obvious.

I recalled that story immediately when I saw this thread!
Okay, how can we parent like the Nigerians?
. My African spouse, from another country, will often rag on Nigerians in this manner. Many Nigerians in this country that I've encountered, mostly as colleagues, are quite accomplished.Anonymous wrote:The article does not mention her stats. Yes, compare to other URM applicants.
I am okay with your last sentence but not with "Standards were not lowered"... So, are you saying her stats are equal/better to Asian/white applicants? Give me a f'king break.

Standards were not lowered, but URM status gave her a boost compared to other applicants with the same stats. It is not racist to recognize it, but it is unhealthy to judge.
Not being a URM, or a legacy, or a top athlete, or poor first-gen should be factored into one's college admissions plan.

No break for you. It has already been said on here that Nigerians value education and have extremely high educational attainment. She is a superior applicant from an educated middle-class family that happens to have dark skin.
