When the off kilter comments started popping up yesterday I was convinced the board was being trolled by some kids. But they continue today, suggesting that actual grownups are getting off on this irrelevant discourse.

I agree. It is clearly creepy and weird for parents to transport their children back and forth to events and playdates with other children and parents. We have an imposter amongst us who should be reported to the cops and incarcerated. Absolutely weird and creepy, behavior to attend children events with other children and parents. This doesn't happen in Fairfax County. My complaint is legitimate because I made it of course. Shot and ask questions later.

I, too, am sitting in an atmosphere of heated chlorine with about 700 + swimmers and parents watching each other. What creeps all around. Will the poster in question call the cops to put us all in jail or shoot and kill us.

That would be the poster who tells the "kiddies" the be like Peyton. Is that the same one who also frequently alludes to Republican politicians? Could be. Similar writing and posting style.

Must be rather good advise for children to model. Great game this weekend. The Broncos are undefeated.

Part of what I am guessing people may have seen as odd is that the post sounded as though you were just watching children at swim meets, soccer, lacrosse games and the like. You referred to "your community" as though it is not also your own community. If your children are on all those teams it is indeed your community, too.

How are you involved in all these sessions of crying? Are your children crying too? There are plenty of activities out there that don't result in children crying every weekend. If your children's teams are as you describe them, I would suggest switching them to a different team or league. Weekend activities should be fun, and not a cause for constant tears. Sure, all kids cry sometimes, but the amount you described is excessive, and not the norm at all.

I bet this is the poster with the gifted kid who also watches all the AAP kids who test prep. This test prepper child watcher is creepy. Where does she find the time to watch and document children test prepping?

Are you the incredibly bizarre person who blathered on about Peyton Manning and prepping several months ago? If so, I know your posts are highly amusing to you, but trust me - no one else finds you at all witty or clever.

I really think you're taking the nutcase poster just a tad too seriously! S/he's just a foolish blowhard who comes on DCUM every few months to spew nonsensical jumbles of words in the hopes of appearing intelligent. Sadly, s/he just looks ridiculous and comical. I wouldn't read too much into any of his/her posts.

What a stupid remark. "Creepy" is a term used by my kids all the time - two of whom are in AAP. Your derision for General Ed kids is really disgusting. And your superior attitude about yourself and your own kids is hysterical. But not in a good way.

PP here. the only time I see tears on the field is when a player makes a big mistake that hurts the team a lot.

As do I. I am sitting on the sideline watching middle school girls...and I go up and talk to them. I listen to the conversations. I am a coach...I am supposed to do that (I mostly watch the other team, to see if their approach leaves any exploitable weaknesses; if there are, I let the girls know. The head coach watches our team.

Or, possibly adults who were disturbed by an odd post that talked about watching many children at many events. It comes across as a bit weird. Probably not menacing or threatening, but odd enough that a few posters found it disturbing and they were pointing that out.
