I wa offered this by an old professor of mine. No way. You will make it on your own. Prostitution is for women in desperate situations. Not young ladies who insist on going to expensive schools in NYC.

Move somewhere cheaper. Go to a state school.

Please tell me that you are studying something practical.

My family history is similar to yours. There was no one for me to turn to but you'll get self sufficient. Don't do this to yourself.

Your story, if true, is definitely a sad one and your situation quite difficult.

The problem with being young is that you have no idea what you will regret until it is too late. Say for example that you do it and later meet the man of your dreams and he finds that choice to be unpalatable.

I have no moral quibbles with this issue and think it might be a very good choice for many young women. I just hope it is a good choice for you.
