Unlike Zara Kate is a very public figure and has to pay more attention to appearance.

Kate Middleton is the future Queen of England.... I don't think most humans, wealthy or not, can compare their behavior or even their nails to the PR machine that is grooming, dressing, coaching, etc. the Princess of Wales....

This is true! I know several other families like this. They are loaded, yet walk around with no cash or money. Maybe that is how they keep it?

Another trait/attribute/habit that I notice consistently includes friendliness and graciousness. Rich people act as if they have not a care in the world. No one will hear about their bunions (bad example), or gossip, or whatever. They are extremely friendly and gracious, as if they are happy all the time, even if they are not. They are not being fake, they just don't believe in airing their shit (no matter how small or no matter how huge).

Every time I hear gossip about a rich person (not very often), I know it is completely made up by a jealous person with a chip on their shoulder.

Yeah there are other pictures out there of Zara's hand where you can see her nails all tatty. I'm sure they are on the internet somewhere.

I don't think it was that bad, but it was definitely casual.

Sounds kind of new money-ish to me.

Yes that sounds more like new money.

Not yelling at their spouse or kids in public.

Read a book called "Cheerful.Money-the dying days of wasp splendor". Its funny, a little.poignant and describes about half of moneyed Washington on up to coast to Maine.
