You can actually earn money with many professions that are not so degrading. In addition, this is a limited career- after a certain age- you have nothing. Have you considered this very realistic scenario?
Not the OP. Have you considered reading the thread (it's not that long) to determine whether the answers you seek have already been provided? (Hint - they have.)
13 pages is long so no i haven't- i'll just bow out on this thread since in many ways- I just don't give a shit is someone doesn't give a shit about themselves (stripper).

OP, you sound so grounded and secure with yourself, which is even better to hear considering your childhood. Good for you and thanks for being open here. I have learned a lot. I've spent a lot of time thinking about these kinds of issues (I work in a "feminist" environment and these conversations come up a lot) and your thread has been very enlightening. Thanks!
+1 Agree! Great OP and really eye-opening to hear your perspective.
Thank you both! I definitely wasn't expecting this level of respect. Curious, first PP, why you call them "feminist" environments?
First PP here. Well, I work in an agency where I specialize in a domestic violence component, which is generally considered a rather feminist environment. I didn't mean to imply that it was "feminist" rather than simply feminist, it's just not a an organization that fully identifies as feminist if that makes sense.
If you say the word, "feminist" over and over, it just starts to lose its meaning, like any other word does.
