Skin complexion actually proves my point more...in a way, you don't understand. Again, HISTORICALLY, biracial children have been accepted into the black community. Mainly because we had no choice. They were slaves right alongside "full" black people.

I have plenty of black friends - of all skin tones - and they would NOT agree with you. I've seen heated debates about skin tone. high yellow, anyone?
What Wikipedia entries have you been reading?

The rationale of racists who just can't believe a black man is POTUS. He identifies as black and will go down in the history books as the first black president. Get over it.
Not true.
I'm biracial and I agree with 1st PP. The fact that POTUS IDs publicly with the AA community doesn't change the fact that his mother was white, as were the grandparents who raised him.
Who's trying to change that fact? This is about his self-identification. And biracial children can "choose a side", if they desire. What I find to be interesting is that some white folks seem amazed that, given the choice, some biracial folks choose "black".
Honestly, I believe his "choice" had to do with the fact that he wouldn't have had the AA vote otherwise. I read his bio and don't remember any black influences in his upbringing before he went to college. And then - for a man back then it would have been social suicide to attempt to befriend black colleagues as a self-identified biracial person.
Yes, this is completely confirmed by research.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Stop saying the playing field is not level. It's not easy being white either. White people have to work and pay their dues and often times are passed over in hiring and promotions because companies want to balance their demographics.
In many if not most cases when two candidates black and white who are equally qualified the job will go to the black candidate. Blacks got cheated out of their wealth and their legacies. They deserved to benefit from Affirmative Action, but the time has come to stop claiming they are victims today.
You're delusional. As you look around your company, take note of how many minorities are in supervisory/managerial positions. Take a look at those who are on your Board of Directors and/or those who hold Executive positions in your company. I'm willing to bet that the blacks in your company are in administrative roles. We are overrepresented there, not so much when it comes to positions that involve the title Manager/Director/VP, EVP, etc.
BTW, do some research on how blacks who are college educated are unemployed at a great percentage to similarly educated white people. Also look up how white FELONS are hired at a greater rate than non-felon blacks. Then take a look around DCUM and see how many judge resumes by the names on them.

Get yourself a DICTIONARY.
+1
Besides, it's not like individuals are powerless. a black manager has the POWER to hire and mistreat employees based on race. A black male has the POWER to specifically seek a white victim to rape and kill, for instance.

I've seen plenty of black and Hispanic families move away b/c of the "element." There's an Hispanic family in our 'hood, which is mainly all white, who refused to send her son to the local school in Silver Spring.
There's another wealthy community down the road which is mainly populated by wealthy minorities. In my daughter's former school - a small private, a black family refused send their kids the to local public b/c the education simply wasn't "good enough."
If you have the money, you have the means. Money attracts money.

And yet, Africa is one of the world's most miserable places. And the people there constantly complain about how "the white man" has wronged them.
How pathetic.
Please read up on colonialism/apartheid in Africa. Your ignorance is astounding.
I'm well aware of colonialism and apartheid.
I just think it's sad that blacks keep dwelling over it, instead of taking advantage of the blessings from Providence.
