Her daughter is now at college and cannot believe how wonderful life is again. Needless to say, our dd did not apply to NCS. Administrators who are reading this, please do all you can to help these girls!

From the same 50 or so people...

I'm a different poster, and dislike the categorical approach.
First of all, has anyone ever been to high school where there were not mean kids/mean girls? My co-ed public school had plenty of "Queen Bees" -- high school is a tough age for girls and perhaps at an all-girls school some of the behaviors can be magnified (although I do imagine they get to speak out in class without being made fun of by boys, which was common back in the day in my co-ed high school).
Secondly, people do seem determined to drown out anyone posting a positive experience/outlook/viewpoint about NCS. Why not make your point without ripping everyone who has a contrary viewpoint?
Third, by the nature of this anonymous forum, it is entirely accurate that we do not, and cannot, know how many different posters there are on any issue.
Night, all.

I remember my daughter telling me about Johnson's daughter coming to the school to talk. LBJ's daughter was hesitant to come because she said it was not a pleasant experience for her but she was guilted into it. Not sure what she was trying to get across but the takeaway for my daughter was that it used to be even worse. And that women graduate, go on and still hate it 30 years later.

Yes! Bashing on an anonymous forum is the way to effect change! Great idea!
It seems to be an effective way to get the word out
For reals? How many people do you know IRL who read DCUM?
