I love their linen pieces and the merino wool. I don’t dress like my children or my mother. I dress my age with confidence. I always feel classic and well dressed in Chicos clothes and always get lots of compliments.
Genuinely interested in your build? Tall?
Asking because my MIL is 5’10” and hard to fit with a sturdy, more athletic frame and she pretty much only buys from Chico’s because she can count on a great fit.
DP. I like the jeans at Chicos Off the Rack. I'm 5'7", 140, and pear shaped. I usually wear one of their smaller sizes (.5) and find the waist, hip/thighs, and length to be just right. Their patterned sweaters and statement necklaces aren't really my taste, but I have such a difficult time finding pants I like I was giddy when I first bought jeans from them a couple years ago. Also, my sister just talked me in to trying one of their t-shirts. It has sleeves almost to the elbow so I thought it would be really matronly, but it fits well and looks nice.
I don't think their clothes are the best quality, but every single thing I've bought recently from other similar stores (Talbots, Ann Taylor, Loft, Gap, etc.) is just as bad. I either expect it to pill quickly or I take care to wash on delicate and hang to dry.
