I'm sure there's a fair amount of peacocking involved wrt clothes. But I also think some people just like clothes and attendant things more than other people do.

Ya know, some people like cars, some like expensive food, some like fancy bags, or big tvs, some like fancy strollers (some like all those things, and hopefully have very good jobs).
