Liberals think its ok to have 6 kids by 6 different men starting at age 16, and to lock my kids in a trailer at night and go clubbing as long as I'm black. Being black excuses me from any for of responsibility or personal accountability. It's the slave owners fault that I make terrible decisions. My brain isn't developed enough to have the innate sense not to do something as stupid as this. It's George Bush's fault.

Neither. I was laughing at your hysterics.
Yeah, I could understand why someone like you would consider that hysterics. But, that is your state of non-grace and judgmental attitude about people who are unlike you. I also understand that empathy and sympathy is taught, and somehow someone failed you. I'll pray for you and those like you. No, that's a lie, and God knows it's a lie. I really won't.
Having compassion for these poor kids who died needlessly and judging the woman who should have known better is so, so terrible of me. I must be a horrble human being. Get a grip! Anonymous wrote:here's the thing -- i don't mind being judged. not stoned, maybe, but i think that social mores help set boundaries and norms. we don't all have to be or think the same, but a common sense of purpose and right and wrong is, in my opinion, a good thing. this "if it feels good do it, any choice you make (or default into) is ok" attitude is not good for this country, and especially not for kids or its weakest and most vulnerable. not judging all too often means that we don't expect people to make good choices, change bad ones, or make a change for the good. i have posted often on this thread because i feel very strongly that being a parent is the most important thing we as humans can do; it is the only decision I can think of that is 100% ours and affects another person (the child) 100%. those poor kids didn't ask to be born, and yet that horrible woman destroyed their lives.

I've worked with women like this as an RN in a pregnancy/addiction clinic in Baltimore. I'm seen countless women who have 5-15 kids by different men and have been severely addicted to heroin their entire lives. Many pregnancies the result of prostitution, rape, etc (often while the woman is high or intoxicated).
I don't condone what this woman did but women who have these high numbers of unsupported kids are generally dealing with some incredibly tough situations (often across multiple generations).

It doesn't matter that her children are by different fathers, and all of the other judgmental crap you all are spewing. No one is really saying that it was OK for her to leave them at home UNLESS she was out at work. And we were waiting for word on that. And now yes, like PP said, we got word that she's a piece of crap for THAT decision. Not having children by different men. Different issues entirely.
But really, what was the point of this thread? OK, we all got the message. Don't leave your children at home alone while you go out partying. Got it.
But we all know that wasn't the point of this thread. It's a bunch of DC folks pointing at "those people" and chortling their judgmental "oh, see, here's her picture, hee hee hee."
Enjoy the rest of your fun.

No, no one has considered that, despite some of us trying to get them to. They're having too much judging from afar and feeling superior to hear anything other than this woman is a monster and don't care one bit that she is obviously troubled.
