The schools established before WWII tend to be well established and able to accomodate those who need FA- these include: Prep (1789), Viz (1799), Gonzaga (1821), AHC (1868),Sidwell (1893), Cathedral (1900), Holton(1901), Potomac (1904), Madeira (1906), St Albans (1909), Stone Ridge (1923) Landon (1929) and Bullis (1930).

If you need FA, you should reconsider private school. Why try to "buy" something that you can't afford? I would need financial assistance to buy a private island. Guess what, that means I can't afford a private island. Be who you are and don't try to acquire things that are beyond your means and have others foot the bill.

You will find that FA is still available at the established schools that have generous families and a long tradition of support for those who need help. There are some nouveau schools populated with families that have a reputation for being cheap and interested only in how the school can help get their children into selective schools. Support from these people dries up the moment they’ve taken everything they can from the school. It’s not too hard to figure out which schools are which.
Ha ha ha! I thought those tacky "nouveau" families were throwing their money around at the schools, buying the $20K parking spaces at the auction so everybody sees how much new money they have?
I'm joking obviously. This PP is absurd.
