Bush had so much class not lashing out at Obama over BO's childish campaign positions you can bet Obama wouldn't be disciplined enough to bite his tounge.

Anonymous wrote:You are SOOOO wrong. Why is Obama still in Iraq and Afghanistan + Guantamino still open? answer...Bush was a genius, took down Saddam. Started Mideast democracy rolling (everyone said he was crazy that mideast could have democracy...truly visionary). Surrounded Iran with U.S. Bases. Took the fight to Radical Islams sandbox and kept it out of ours. Obama can't leave Iraq -it was Bush's genius bargaining chip. Iran takes down nukes...maybe we will leave Iraq...Iran becomes democratic...maybe we will leave Afghanistan. Iran continues mad man strategy...pull the noose.TheManWithAUsername wrote:takoma wrote:Anonymous wrote:America is awesome. I'll never forget how the terrified, screaming, crying, worried liberal urbanites LOVED tough, mean, born-again, GWB after 911.
I don't know which liberals you were talking to, but the ones I knew, including me, were bitching about the fact that he ignored the warnings he was given beforehand and was clearly maneuvering to use 9/11 as an excuse to invade Iraq. We were not out on the Mall demonstrating our love for the guy.
But I'm willing to let bygones be bygones. We've said 'bye to Cheney; why isn't he gone?
In the mid-00s, I started worrying that our kids will be taught the lie that everyone supported the wars. DW and I are going to sound like cranky hippies, spouting this crazy talk that not everyone rallied behind Glorious Leader. The media, in the Bush administration's pocket, didn't like the anti-war stories then, and now they don't like it because they hate having been wrong.
