I will disagree. Other scores matter, but we understand them better. It is not clear what an average student's gbrs is. My guess is 4-6 would be an average student, 12 - 13 is the average accepted into AAP. -- 12 for in pool, 13 for out of pool (you would expect in pool to be lower on average because a 10 GBRS with exceptional scores gets in whereas out of pool, it would not).

SO, if we mapped GBRS on the same type of scale, 12 would be like 130, 8 would be like 100, 10 would be like 115, etc....(I am not saying that is what it is...)

Could be your particular mailman. If you know some families at your school have received letters, the teacher should be free to discuss, so you might want to ask the teacher about your son's status.

You have to ask at the school if you want to find out your child's GBRS. My child got into AAP last year, and we never found out the score. Not everyone does.

Cogat comp 138, v-119, Q-132, NV-150, NNAT 121,
GBRS 14
Grades were all Os and Gs.

14:18....Thank you for posting the scores and congratulations. My own dc's scores are very close to yours (Cogat comp was 132, and NNAT was 139. ) I was told what you were told in regards to the package, and not to worry--they had lots to work with to do a great package. Feeling very hopeful now... Thanks.

14:18 here again - scores were CogAT composite 128, 138 NNAT. Not sure about GBRS, but teacher said they put together a good package for DD.

I called the main office of the school asking if they could reveal the decision, and they transferred me to the AAP teacher's voice mail. I guess we just have to wait.

CogAt -- forgot the scores (verbal -1 wrong, math-2 wrong, non-verbal-3-wrong)!
