That is certainly an interesting move. Obviously it is a bigger pool to swim in being in DC than dealing with STAB way out in the country. There wasn't a ton in the cubbard at Bullis so it might take a year or two.

Great hire by Bullis. Bell will have his work cut out for sure. Very little if any 30' talent coming in. Will have to hit transfer portal hard and begin targeting 31's class

GZ went 1-2 (lost to Loomis and Tabor)
GC went 0-3 (lost to Salesianum, Brunswick, and Rams)
SJ went 1-2 (lost to Deerfield, and Brunswick)

Salesianum is an athletic dark horse - they are so good at hockey too. Not sure if it’s all boys,
Boarding, etc but it’s definitely one of a relatively small number of private schools in DE which helps.

Sure sounds like he knew he wasn't actually going to get the job and backed out to save face.

Anonymous wrote:The first letter in DEI is Diverse. Private schools have switched from looking for diversity through the entire school to include education and are almost primarily looking for minority athletes to increase their diversity % and entertain the students, alumni and staff at the same time.

One of the player's dads on Bullis brags about how he got the best scholarship deal out of Bullis by putting race first. His teammate on the Hawks' dad did the exact same thing. It's not much of a secret.

DEI is almost never used to reference minority athletes, but it is used when minority candidates are given priority first in skilled fields like medicine or flying a plane based on the color of their skin rather than merit.

This is not what DEI is at all.
