Trump is not a Nobel Laureate. I am sure that Trump will find some way to wear the medal and but it is as meaningless as a safety pin.

Ford sells cars and boycotting Ford products is a possibility.
I guarantee his CBA has a just cause discharge provision which is protected by arbitration. Ford can probably get away with a written warning maybe even a one week suspension but if they fire him, they will lose at arbitration and have to pay him back wages for a nice long vacation. They all know this. People this is one reason you want a union — just cause protection is super helpful.

He has a responsibility to respect public opinions of just someone verbally expressing their feelings about him. Whatever that is, right or wrong, Trump needed to be the President and walk away. To show that the office of the President of the US is not getting involved in mocking, belittling, insulting a US citizen the way he did.
That's what you do in the highest public office of any country. Even China and Russia.
This is why anyone who isn't MAGA is upset that this President is such a failure in this office!

Ford pretty much needs to bury the story and just wait for Trump to create a mess somewhere else (which is happening daily at this point), because terminating this guy will be disastrous for their brand.
