These two women in our office always show up looking disheveled. Latoya and Khadijah. I can’t imagine my boss enforcing a dress code on them.

Apparently this is really common in federal offices.

It's funny but also incredibly sad. Bring your own water. Even if the cafeteria was open, would you even trust the food prepared using the building water or cooked in pots and pans washed with the building's water?

Not to mention the roaches and mice. I never ate at the cafeteria when it was open. Can’t imagine 5+ years of it being dormant have done it any favors should it ever reopen. Last week in the basement I saw the most horrifyingly large….house centipede, I think? It was long, tons of feathery legs. Yay, pets!

My building has so many mice that they run around during the day when people are there. There’s glue traps laying around the building. It’s ridiculous.

I thought you were speaking of my agency which hasn’t been listed yet…very common. No cafeteria in years, can’t drink water due to Legionnaires, still taped up. lol and sigh

GSA? Maybe not, because our water fountains are no longer taped off, although they were previously. They said the water was now ok to drink.

Sadly, I know exactly which agency you work for.
Everyone not close to retirement is looking for a position outside of federal government.

Maybe a Trump appointee can come visit and we can make sure he drinks some refreshing tap water.

At ours the fountain water has sand in it, but we were told they tested the water and found nothing wrong except the sand so it was safe to drink. Mmm crunchy.

Nope. From what I saw on Reddit there are quite a few agencies with these situations. Mine included (and it's not the VA).
