And I am old enough to remember "but her emails" and Obama being forces to surrender his Blackberry.
A fascinating question is who included Goldberg? It had to have been a deliberate leak. So, which one of all those involved wanted to draw attention to the shocking and chilling incompetence of those in charge of state secrets

Putting our service members and civilians at risk, based upon a few texts of debate?
Sick…
And afterwards, they posted a muscle and flag emoji.
Like a 15 year old boy might do.
Such an unprofessional bunch of losers, all put in place by trump AND Republican senators.

Reporter: Can you share how your information about war plans was shared with a journalist?
Hegseth: So you are talking about a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist who has made a profession of peddling hoaxes
He's a Fox News dimwit with a mediocre resume and a bunch of DUIs. What did you expect from him? Trump hires people he thinks look the part, not those with competence and character.
Deflection fail, but thanks for confirming the report, dude.
He comes across pretty unhinged there. He knows it's an indefensible bad look.

Fox News anchor John Roberts praised journalist Jeffery Goldberg hours after the The Atlantic’s top editor published a bombshell report revealing he had been accidentally sent secret war plans by top U.S. officials ahead of recent strikes in the Middle East.
“I would think that there are probably worse people that you could text your secret plans to,” Roberts said on Fox on Monday afternoon. “But it appears Goldberg has acted responsibly here in writing this article.”
r/askpolitics was where I first heard about this, someone asked conservatives to give their opinion and they all called for firing people.
Fox 8 article has a survey on how concerned you are, 62% very concerned.
Are they actually covering it on their TV network? FoxNews website is not.
Still nothing on FoxNews website. Republicans breaking laws is not news to them.
They’re still brainstorming on how to blame it on Biden.
It's at the top of the website now.
And, to be fair, it’s a pretty neutral report.
Guess it’s got to be pretty bad if even Fox can’t spin it.
Fox News was the leader of the “but her emails” group. What Hegseth and Vance did is 100x worse.
It’s espionage. I expect charges to be filed. And meanwhile our president says he has no idea about this. First musk almost gets a china war briefing and now top defense officials are using a commercial app to discuss war plans! Not to mention inviting a third party to the chat. Unfortunately we know that no crimes or carelessness result in any consequences for Trump.

Part of me wonders if Walz knew what he was doing. And did it to cause this, because he has the common sense to know how dangerous this let’s plan a war via Signal mentality is. Maybe I’m just holding out hope some at the top of US National Security has some sense.
