No, she was with a group of 6 female friends. She went to swim in the ocean and was caught by a big wave. Read the news before speculating.
Life is fragile. I feel so sad for her and her parents.
DP but the news program I was watching indicated the last person she was with was not in the group of her girlfriends that went together.

Yes. 24 years old. Really don't think he orchestrated a kidnapping. Just stinking drunk and dumb.
He wiped his internet presence very quickly.

That is a very long “swim” in the dark. Is he a local? A tourist? Does he have any kind of criminal record? He should be charged with something.
What evidence is there that he committed a crime?
Parents, don't let your kids go beach week-ing or spring breaking. There is just no good to come of it.
these were adults
Technically.
When you pay your own bills for rent, food, insurance, cell phone, internet, car, gas, travel, etc. then you are an adult.

No, just partying too hard and unfortunately made unwise choices while under the influence. Parents in denial, which is understandable.
yes, especially given the cultural aspects. Its very likely they didn't even know she drank much less stayed up all night until 3-5am with a stranger. I am not victim shaming, I did the same at that age and lucky to be alive. My parents would have been shocked.

"Ribe according to local media explained that both he and Konanki entered the sea waters only to be engulfed by a wave, with the man saying he managed to get out, vomiting and falling asleep on the sand. He said when he got out of the water, he thought the young woman, Konanki had done so, too."
"Joshua Stevem Ribe, the last person to see Sudiksha Konanki Chowdary, the Indian tourist missing since March 7 at the Riu resort in Bávaro, Punta Cana, has provided his account of the incident. According to Ribe, he and Chowdary were swimming with five other foreign friends when the group decided to return to their rooms, leaving only him and the missing woman on the beach.
Ribe stated that strong waves pulled them into the water, and while he managed to escape, he last saw Chowdary with water up to her knees. This version is included in the official complaint filed by her father, Subbarayudu Konanki."

PP was trying to diplomaticially say she's not white, at least not American white... which itself has a pecking order in terms of media attention in the case of the missing girl. Brunette is at the bottom, blond and not attractive comes next, then at the top would be blonde and attractive. If you aren't at least in the top two then too bad, you aren't getting the Natalie Holloway treatment.
