Anti-Trump theater is the only thing that animates Democrats.
And Republicans are even worse. It's nothing but a cult of personality. There's no ideological underpinning anywhere. Just blind submission to an absurd narcissist in makeup. It's not even about returning to 19th Century Great Power politics since Republicans are doing everything possible to destroy America's national security. Republicans are beyond pathetic with their frightening devotion to a reality tv character.
So both traditional liberals and conservatives are politically homeless these days. I'd venture to guess at least 60 percent of the country hates both parties.

I have not read this thread but my opinion is that Democrats are now the traditional conservation party (hate Russia. Love defensive spending. States rights. Settled precedent) and MAGA (are corrupt but don’t want to kill people). .
As a leftist I am confused. I imagine traditions Republicans are too.
Not really.
On the one hand we have the losers that annoy America by overreaching on policy but believe in the Constitution and don't harm our long term interest
On the other hand he have the jerkwad douches that troll America, overreach on policy, don't believe in the Constitution and harm our long term interests.
It's not very confusing where to stand if you believe in America.
Thank god the Russians haven't figured out how to merge the authoritarian left with the authoritarian right yet. There's still a center in this country and it can still hold.

While I find Trump’s blunt, NYC-style of talk rather distasteful, and no one admires his family history of infidelity and divorce, his policies are the opposite of what you progressives have put in place over the THREE (3) terms of President Obama.
And let’s stop pretending it was demented Biden directing the country; Obama ran things from behind the curtain.
You cheered on the invasion of our country, demonized our police, and rammed through a truly weird transgender agenda in our public schools, which even my gay friends find really weird.
BTW - I do agree with you progressives in favor war in Ukraine until victory; I want to see Putin’s evil-empire 2.0 completely collapse because I have family in Europe, and I know there will never be peace or real security in Europe until the Putin / puppet Medvedev regime collapses. Putin can’t be trusted.
And I meant to add: you created a multi-billion dollar DEI or DEIA “industry.” The fact is:
DEI = racism. I cannot and will not support racism; will you?
DEI means I have an equal chance at landing the same job for the same pay as my male counterparts.
Do you trust Bloomberg news?
- 94% of jobs recently given EXCLUSIVELY to BIPOC Americans.
Does 94% given to ONE group sound like there was (as you put it) an “equal chance” in hiring? Read it yourself:

Yeah, so why don’t you provider the full detail? Most of these jobs for BIPOC hires were lower paying, entry level. The managerial hires were still a majority white. Moreover, white people still dominate higher paying / executive jobs.
Don’t worry, white people still have the advantage.
Not to mention that, when you are acknowledging and trying to recitfy a past injustice (not hiring people of color), well, yes the new hires are obviously going to be people of color. That was the point.
Fight racism with more racism.
And people wonder why young white males took a hard right.
I guess they should just "be cool" about being punished for stuff that happened before they were born. That's not realistic.
Privilege galore above. The "bad things happened before I was born" whining is so old.
No one's saying white males should "be cool" about "being punished." Punished how? Because you don't get preferential treatment? Is it best to just continue letting white males have unearned advantages over everybody else because they're white and male?

Other than opposing Trump, what is your agenda for the country?
Taxing the wealthy and corporations to better fund programs that help working class/middle class Americans.
Overturning Citizens United.
Streamlined immigration system that offers more protection and dignity than sneaking across the border.
Stronger supports for young families (national paid parental leave, childcare subsidies and/or increasing the dependent FSA amount, more federal investment in public schools, increasing child tax credits, etc.)
Not having a sexual predator in the White House.
Fixing student loans so that people don’t pay more interest than the principal.
Expanded first time homebuyer tax credits/low interest loans.
Gun reform (e.g. taxes and limitations on ammo, strict liability for parents who don’t lock up their guns, waiting periods and background checks across all states).
Expanded access to mental health treatment including inpatient centers and drug rehabilitation.
Strong relationships with national allies and distancing from ties to Russia. Stop trying to buy Greenland.
And also I do agree with some conservative values. I’d love to see stricter enforcement of criminal laws, especially very harsh consequences for gun crimes and DUI. I’m also 100% for anything that will help limit fentanyl coming across our borders.
Let’s talk about your #1 priority, taxing the wealthy. If a family earns $1 million in ordinary income in a year, what do you think is the fair share they should pay in taxes?
See, that’s the problem with much of the right. They think $1 million a year is “wealthy”. They seem completely unaware of the amount of enormous , unimaginable wealth that exists in this country, so they don’t even register it as something we could tax.
And yet, every time the Democrats propose legislation they go all the way down to $500k and less. It's almost as if they try to lose elections.
Democrats just offered amendments that taxes would go up on people who make more than $2billion a year and republicans said no.

DEI is there to counter racism. wow, you really live in a different world.
Funny how the people outraged by DEI are silent when it comes to the historical advantages white men received that paid off dividends for decades.
It’s like ignoring the player who cheated at monopoly for most the game and then being mad when some rules are tweaked to give the cheated upon players a chance to get back in the game.
Also, they don’t seem to be upset by all the white supremecist groups who are openly inspired by this administration. Not to mention the “A” in DEIA is accessibility. So I guess MAGA is against wheel chair ramps and sign language interpreters now? There is no low they won’t stoop to in order to keep the status quo that favored white men. The second they felt disadvantaged a bunch of podcasts popped up telling them nothing is their fault, that they have been wronged, blah blah blah not to mention the stupid red pill stuff.
Sorry so many of you are losers who cannot talk to girls or compete in a job market that appreciates diversity.

We are appalled by this administration but even more appalled by the thought of a Harris presidency.

The Lincoln Party folks are the very traditional conservatives who are the subject of this thread. No, they do not support democratic causes. They do support AMERICAN causes. It just shows how far off the rails MAGA is.
Liar. America voted MAGA.
