I heard that too. Considering how much training and investment they reportedly put into new hires, there’s a lot of sunk cost associated with a so-called cost saving move. But I guess the new hires would have less information to take away with them so less security risk?

That doesn't seem terrible. Figure they are paying about $6K for the employer side of FICA and maybe $15K for health insurance benefits puts you up to $108K. Maybe they give that employee a small 401K match so there's a few grand profit there.

Or are you saying the EA pay and benefits in its entirely is $87K in which case wow!


That's overhead for the contractor. It will cover admin salaries, HR, leases, etc. Imagine if feds had to tack on a percentage of fed admin salaries and fed leases to their salaries.

I realize everyone is afraid of him, and he can absolutely still do harm, but the absolute chaos is starting to be contained.


It’s going to take a while for the chaos to be contained. No one where I am feels safe. Everyone is worried.

I wouldn’t think we need as many cybersecurity experts since we’re not monitoring or reporting on Russian activity any longer.

In cybersecurity and my division was not exempt from the fork. We are all worried about losing our jobs.


Cybersecurity is too tempting for Musk for you to be safe. Anything he can get his businesses into....
