Do they announce early releases the day before or on the same day? Also, how does it affect buses and Kiss & Ride? (I am sorry if there is an answer somewhere, I couldn't find it)
They used to do on the day off, but again they used to call snow days on the day off,. but parents now are so insane that they have to call them the day before, so I think if we do have a early release it will be the day before. I am praying to all the Gods that we have school tomorrow and Friday. I have to go to the office now, FCPS doesn't understand that they are making us go in the office now.

Early releases are announced same day. How they affect buses and kiss n ride? You pick your kid up 2 hours earlier or they ride home 2 hrs earlier. How do you not understand that?

It might be a closure, it might be an on time dismissal with cancellation of after school activities/sports, it might be the elusive unannounced 2-3 hour early release and hopefully SACC will be available for ES until normal dismissal. And yes, we should be getting some decent melting by Thursday so hopefully they can go on a 2 hour delay by that point.

Have you not read multiple posts explaining why fcps rarely does early releases?
