You serious?

Yes. Didn’t sound like it just my division. Even OPM is giving their staff until March. Just unreal.

What division are you?

This is the entire point.

How is that the point? Why would the Board want employees to leave?

Where did you hear this from?

Just got off a call with my management. Hopefully they post something internally soon so people will actually know.

They could simply send the memo directly without having to go through Agency heads. Our agency has still not communicated their plans so we have to wait and see how it pans out.

We are any way at 6 days/PP. Don't mind if they set it to 8 but having the flexibility of 1 day of telework/week would be nice (that's what we had before Covid). I pity my supervisor who will have to sign off on countless situational telework requests as so many of us have downtown meetings etc.

I legit thought that was spam and reported it

There was an email yesterday alerting us that we will be receiving the OPM email and it was not spam.

I didn’t get any email like that from my agency. The OPM email looked super suspicious, had no identifying info, etc. it looked like a phishing attempt.

We got the heads up email and I still thought the OPM email looked fishy. At a minimum they could have been like “per our prior communication regarding the new OPM email…” but that is probably expecting too much from them

report it as a phishing attempt.

I did.
It's literally all the things they tell you to keep an eye on...
Marked high important, from an email you don't know, no way to verify the human who sent it, etc etc

It's not literally Trump and his staff sending it. It's your same IT team that has always been there, probably toying with the new directive.

It's coming from OPM, not agency IT staff. It appears that former X employees are now working at OPM and are the ones sending all these emails out. It's really no wonder that X is such a mess. These people are idiots.

Treasury just sent out an email that they will be complying with the EO but they are analyzing how it will be implemented. It said employees will be given notice of any changes (but did not say how much). I expected something more specific but am glad they can have more than 2 days to formulate a plan.

It’s not though. Those come from specific emails.

Its legit but has anyone replied?

You could be written up for not following security protocols.

Has anyone’s agency or component sent something out to follow up on this OPM message? Mine hasn’t.

Mine did.

Treasury did.

Huh. I reported and have not received a follow up. I assume you did not report it?

No I figured we would get something about it and we did. After receiving the Treasury email I replied.

Oh I see. Missed the earlier email.
