I'm sure there are a team of progressives running things behind the scenes. I never go the impression Jill was even interested in politics. She isn't like Hillary as a first lady.

People who point fingers to Jill just trying to deflect from actual Joe’s handlers. Jill is no one, former waitress. Unless Lenin’s dream came true ( that any housekeeper can manage the government).

This plus it’s easy to blame the woman.

Biden is calling the shots. That was clear as he gathered himself as the debate wore on.

Which would be even more troubling.

There's a reason scammers target elderly people in cognitive decline. Joe Biden shouldn't be in charge of his checking account much less the US.

Who was calling the shots in the Trump administration? Wackjobs, authoritarians and psychos like Trump, Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Stephen Miller. Grifters like Betsy DeVos. Did you forget?

And we see with our own eyes how much Trump's slid in terms of cognitive decline. Compare interviews and TV appearances he did in the 2000s to today - back then he was articulate. Now he has the vocabulary of a 4th grader, slurs his words, constantly makes up stories and babbles incoherently worse than a 10 year old boy with ADHD.

Even if you thought that - at least you knew it. You have no freaking idea about what's happening under Biden.

Jill is Joe’s handler. That’s so obvious. She is calling the shots. Apparently the family is blaming Joe’s staff for his horrific performance. If college professor Jill can’t see Joe’s mental decline and recognize he should step down…well, I’m worried about our nation and the students in her class.

Now, now. We can call Jill many things but the only people she’s been scamming are the voters. I will admit, she scammed me in the primary.

With Biden, he has no clue what is going on, and the voters do not really know who they are voting for.

It doesn't give me any comfort at all to know that a petty, delusional, chaotic and vindictive guy with zero impulse control like Donald Trump is in charge and making decisions.

Oh vindictive? You are the guys using the court systems against political enemies. Using the IRS against political enemies.

You don't do shit, run shit, you f*k up everything you touch, but you know how to go after people to keep power.

Are you equally offended by calls from I-am-your-retribution Trump and other GOP members to go after Dems when they get back into power? Or is it going to be a-okay when they do it? Because they're talking openly about doing it: “We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country" (Trump).

Democrats opened a Pandora's box by relentlessly targeting Trump and his top folks with prosecution for things that have never been prosecuted before. Eric Holder did the same thing as Bannon, no prosecution. Bill Clinton paid out an accuser, Hillary and Biden stored classified at their homes, and scores of politicians have incited violent riots. So the precedent has been to let people get away with it.

And maybe that was the wrong answer. Maybe all this time, they should have been prosecuting. But now that there has been a change in precedent, we will see a lot more prosecutions of politicians on both sides, probably for the rest of our lifetimes. Candidate quality will degrade as a result. If you think these candidates are bad, give it 20 years. The type of people willing to run for office and open themselves up to political prosecution will be even worse than the kind of people we have now. And, people will become much more open to criminals in office since it will be presumed that criminals are standard issue politicians. If you clapped your hands in glee every time you heard a prosecutor vow to put Trump away, you are the one to break the seal. Typically you find a crime and that leads you to the criminal. Deciding that you want to prosecute someone and then figuring out a charge is a hallmark of corruption. So we already have corruption, and it will be applied equally and more liberally from now until we get this back in a box.

So well said.

You do know Trump is only 3 years younger than Biden, right? And with his obesity and other issues is ready for a stroke or heart attack at any time.

Yeah, but I think at the extremes the differences are greater. Like 14 years v 18 years or 4 years old v 8 years old. Cognitive inflexibility is real. And I saw it with my own eyes.

I? Maybe you are the one with impairment. Why on Earth do we need to consider you a credible source of what we were able to sw ourselves on TV.

Advisors etc are supposed to serve the President and make it easier for him to make the best decisions, not make the decisions for him.

And as illustrated in living color debate night, Biden is not making decisions. A 10 day debate prep at an offsite location was to drill what the real people in charge have been doing into his head. It’s so obvious. People aren’t stupid.

The debate didn't show this. You are making this us. No one has to engage with your pretend scenarios.

Not a Biden supporter but I will admit that my family has done fine under him the past few years. I just feel that as a taxpaying American citizen I deserve to know who is actually making decisions in the White House.

Who is the man and/or woman behind the curtain?

But you think the guy who babbles incoherently for 5 minutes straight about an imaginary conversation he had with people who said "sir you're brilliant" because he was the only person on the planet to think of the major ethical dilemma of the apparent fact that boats are incapable of floating if you put batteries on them and then you'll have to consider whether to be "electrocuted by the Big Battery" or jump 10 feet into a shark's mouth is not at all in cognitive decline and should be in charge of the US. Sure, seems legit.
