TSJ parent here who said we will stay. I find it very hard to believe that BC will be involved. My educated guess is this was a save face measure by the club and he will quietly slip away. I’m no idiot. But as someone else said, my player isn’t at an age where that will impact her. And BC wasn’t her coach.

I am not pleased with club leadership at all and they will have to get their shit together for us to stay beyond this year. But my player likes her coach and her team. We like the style of coaching very much. It’s far superior to what we’ve seen in the area. That is sole reason that as of now we plan stay the year.

Despite what TJSFCV says, BC is not going to be involved as a college recruiting coordinator for these girls in reality - he'll be in name only. He has no idea who these kids are and cannot discuss them in any level of detail with college coaches. To say anything otherwise is disingenuous at best, or lying at worse.

I think that building and maintaining the recruiting relationships is probably the most important part and making sure players are seen. Keeping that pathway nurtured is key. Someone does not have to be local to do that. If I had a high schooler, I'd be more concerned.


And isn't he going to be doing that for his Seattle United players? Whom will get the majority of his focus

I felt the people who were running it before were also untrustworthly and dishonest. Felt the same about our past two clubs. So that's nothing new to me. Lack of transparency is not unique to FCV/STJ. If you think it is, you have a different experience than I have had. I had zero interaction with anyone who left after being with the club multiple years. I've had more interaction with the current management in one month than I did in a few years with the old. Not saying that means everything or even anything. Believing what any of them are saying and getting super invested in words vs. action in any club is a misguided decision imo. Anything I have experienced is not unique in our last 8 years of soccer in 3 clubs. I only know things from our own experience and that's what I'm comparing it to. Hope for the best, plan for the worst, and giving it some time to sort itself out before making any major decisions.

It’s yet another example of the incompetence of the new leadership of this club. Based on their track record I would be very skeptical that anything they promise actually comes to fruition. Maybe it’s just another in a streak of terrible luck one after another, or maybe it’s simply incompetence

How is BC going to be involved in college relationships when he's across the country and nowhere near the TSJ players? The college placement director was a full time role when it was going to be DR, this advisor role is just for Adam to save face because he lost every single coach that was introduced to the parents in the spring.

Last weeks news wasn’t pleasant and I don’t particularly like how it was handled. But we plan to stay. We are not directly impacted by BC’s departure and our player has been enjoying her teams and her coach. We will give it this season.

You clearly don't have experience with different clubs. What's true at one club isn't true at another.

No, because they’re the goal keeper coach for all teams, so they usually don’t have their own team(s). But if there is no one else, guess they’ll need to.
