So bad. Honey, you're not 22.

Yes.
This is a million times more tasteful than her White House state dinner dress.
She's more afraid of Anna Wintour then Joe Biden, which... fair.
Or Jeff gave her permission to not dress like a whore for one evening.
Articles stated LS's attendance was conditional on AW "assisting" her with the dress selection. Who knows if true, but interesting in light of this.
Honestly, this whole thing was a snooze, other than maybe Zendaya's Galliano and Mindy Kaling's sculptural dress (though snooze-y color).
This is pretty standard -- Wintour has a lot of control over what people wear to this event, and is instrumental in setting up celebrities with specific designers and often has veto power over the specific outfits worn. Like she almost certainly also approved Zendaya's two looks, though likely much more joyfully than with her approach to LS.
And it's not like AW is afraid of sex appeal -- JLo was a co-chair and Wintour certainly signed off on her dress, which is more scandalous than anything LS has ever worn. The difference is that JLo looked impeccable and LS generally looks trashy, so Wintour is likely trying to help her out a bit. She did the same with the Kardashians when they came up -- people made a big stink about Kim being on the cover of Vogue and the Kardashians being invited to the Met Gala initially. But now look -- while Kim's dress was not a hit for me, it was still interesting and on point, Kendall looked amazing and Kylie wore a surprising simple and elegant gown, and Kris was a genuine standout this year.
Love her or hate her, Anna Wintour knows exactly what she's doing when it comes to fashion. And I don't even like Vogue under her leadership (it's dull). But she knows her craft.
jLo’s dress wasn’t scandalous. It was just arty. I thought it was gorgeous. Whereas the stuff Lauren Sanchez has worn with Bezos usually make me shake my head in disbelief/pity that she thinks she looks attractive dressing lik that
It was a transparent dress. Unlike Emily Ratajkowski, JLo wore cups over her boobs, but otherwise similar levels of naked. I agree it was artistic and gorgeous. It was also perfectly fitted and styled. But it was a naked dress. So was Kim K's dress. Not complaining. I support the right of people to wear naked dresses if they want.
The problem with Lauren Sánchez is that she wants to wear the naked dresses but she doesn't put the effort into fit and styling that makes it look good. Her head styling (including all her fillers, which are so over the top and tacky) also works against making these things work -- she just looks kind of trashy and then put her in a skin tight see through dress and the effect is not glamorous. She also just has bad taste -- she LOVES black and colored lace, often skin tight so it develops unflattering wrinkles and folds. It's very Fredericks of Hollywood and NOT very Met Gala.

To me, the color paired with the daisy flower accents (minus the tulle cloud around her) looks too college formal.

Eh, she's a normie and he's not a fashion guy. They chose to just go formal and look nice -- not everyone needs an attention grabbing looking:

Similar vibe with Seth Meyers and Alexi Ashe -- they just look good, they did not need to go all out with the theme (and potentially make fools of themselves):

This dress is a Balenciaga recreation of a 1950s pic of Dorian Leigh, thus the “reawakening beauty” per the theme. Kidman often honors older designers & photographers in her couture. But please tell us she looks pregnant or something ridiculous.
me? i think she looks beautiful - and like cruella's mom. in a good way. i would like to see her cast as a disney villain. disney villains have fun fashion and great looks.
