You nailed it, but these posters are so married to selling this false narrative of decline that they refuse to look at any evidence.
Agree, and it's obvious what's really going on, but some posters are set on pushing the false narrative because it supports their political agenda. They ignore the demographic shift that has happened and refuse to look below the surface, but I don't think they're fooling anyone.

You can’t do this, you’re a girl, you’ll fail because you are a girl, comments about body parts, I can go on and on. The teacher acknowledged it was a problem. Principal refused to do anything, pointed me to a bullying form. And I talked to a county administrator, who has since left because of the scandal, very nice on the phone but did nothing. Now if these comments were about anything other than her being a girl, the county would have cared. All MCPS cares about is equity, but not in raising the bar for kids who don’t have the support. They are focused on the appearance of equity, not providing a solid education to all. It’s broken. It’s exhausting. Doesn’t matter what I do, other than move my kid.

1. The Superintendent has just been fired (for promoting a serial sexual harasser), a number of high-ranking officials have also been fired, and the central office is in disarray. It will take some time to find a new superintendent.
2. Due to the construction of two new high schools (Woodward and Crown), half of the county will be involved in massive school boundary studies. Your children may be rezoned during their stay at MCPS (unless you live within walking distance to the schools you like).

With such uncertainties, why do you choose to come to MCPS?
Do you think other schoool districts don’t redo boundaries
Which school district is redoing boundaries for half of the district?
To be more precise, which school district is redoing boundaries for all its better schools?
Doesn't Howard County redo their boundaries on a regular basis?
Yes. And boundaries in Loudoun have been ever shifting because the school system was growing so fast. But that’s actually was should be happening. School boundaries should be re-evaluated because the dynamics of the county don’t stay the same. It’s one of the ways to ensure that the system is balancing its use of financial, physical, and Human Resources.
Which is exactly why people are so excited to see two large boundary studies or a whole system study coming up. Because it is loonnng overdue.
Except there is a group that is resistant to change and fights it tooth and nail.
That is a problem for that group, not MCPS. MCPS is responsible for ensuring optimal utilization of finance and resources. More frequent review of boundaries would help with that or at the very least confirm that things are fine.
Presently we know things are wrong and crazy and should absolutely be changed. Everyone knows it and the Boundary Analysis confirmed it.
