I found Emma attractive, but I don't know that matters. Folks do not have to be attractive for someone who is attractive to fall for them.

Anyway, I liked it but I never really thought either of them were very good for each other. A lot of their early relationship as friends involved them purposely hurting each other. So I was never really rooting for them to get together.

In no way was Sylvia his true love. They never connected and he was self conscious and had low self esteem around her and her family.

To other PPs, I didn’t find Emma incredibly attractive, but I found Sylvia even less so. I would not say that, except for the multiple posts about how unattractive Emma is and out of his league.

But that’s the personality. She’s Northern and dour; or as FT called her, caustic

I agree Emma wasn't conventionally pretty. But if she had been given some genuinely funny, warm lines, instead of the judgy and defensive lines she actually got, I think she'd have been really attractive.

Ok, I just finished it. I take back everything I thought about Emma not being cast properly. It was perfect.

She was annoying in the beginning as a defense mechanism because she thought he was better than her. He was riding on good looks early on, and honestly for a while, it became more about what she would see in him, rather than the other way around. But part of why she still gave him a chance was because of all their history. And then, he grew up and grew into being the man he needed to be for her. If she just met Dex in Paris, as a successful author, she wouldn’t have given him a chance.

Initially, he was superficial and not thinking beyond a single night. But they had a connection and it worked for me, after like episode 2.

Loved the ending and I hope everyone finds a love like that. Cheesy, I know!!
