He left MCPS 2019.
What did he know if any about the allegations against certain MCPS employees before he left in 2019?
"He then began a 25-year tenure with Montgomery County Public Schools as a mathematics teacher. He was promoted and successfully served as principal of three high schools, and ultimately rose to an associate superintendency. As associate superintendent, he and his directors supervised eight high schools, two specialty schools, 15 middle schools, and 44 elementary schools."

Is this appointment truly "interim" or is this the most obvious case of she will be named the full superintendentu in a few months?
Agreed- how long have previous (national not just state/MCPS) searches taken? Even if they started it last year, I imagine the public facing search takes time and hopefully includes lots of vetting. The BOE needs to be super transparent about the search and who they are considering.
Right that is definitely going to happen. And super transparent? Right right of course.
Super transparency makes it harder to attract candidates as they may not want their current employer to know until they are in the final short list.

The last superintendent search was announced in October 2021, and they hired McKnight in February 2022.
