NP. Right. But the issue is that swing state moderates and independents had already been on the fence about Biden but his pro-Israel stance had been making them lean back towards the Democrats. In other words one of the issues in this upcoming election was that moderates and independents hate Trump, but actively also hate the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. So, for swing state moderates, many are deciding whether the election is actually Trump versus Biden or MAGA vs progressive left. Or Trump v progressive left or Biden v. MAGA. In other words, for critical voters in swing states, a strong point in Biden’s favor is his ability to repudiate and restrain the progressive left.
These marches, with their violence and graffiti and antisemitism, show that Biden can’t restrain the progressive left. Plus they show the progressive left aligned with values that repel moderate voters: support for terrorism, attempts to overrun the White House, etc.
The marches will draw important voters to Republicans, make no mistake. For moderates who were horrified by J6, there are now images of masked far leftists trying to get into the White House while carrying the flag of a terrorist-supporting foreign country. For moderates worried about terrorism, there are now images and videos that look like thousands of people protesting in favor of terrorism on American streets.
And yes of course I know that most protestors just want peace blah blah blah. Do you think effective campaign ads show any of that? Do you think the intent matters whatsoever in campaign politics? There are now going to be pictures and videos of masked far leftists trying to scale the White House fence with flags of a foreign country flooding moderate voters from now until the next presidential election. Essentially the far left has handed the Republicans a neat way of removing J6 as a campaign tool for Democrats and that’s a powerful victory for Republicans.
I expect Israel to be completely irrelevant to the voting decisions of the vast majority of voters. It's completely bizarre you think that Bide's "pro-Israel stance" was making swing state voters lean towards him.
Agree. Foreign policy is rarely much of an issue for voters. And we’re not sending U.S. troops.
I expect the 50,000 voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia who will decide the next election are paying little attention to “events in the Middle East”.
You’re forgetting Michigan which has enough Muslim voters to swing the election. Biden is doing a great job convincing them to stay home
The Muslim voters are clustered heavily in a few specific districts that vote blue anyhow. I do not understand how people think this is going to swing Michigan at all. They seem a bit ignorant of MI electoral politics.
According a The New York Times/Siena College poll released today, Biden is trailing Trump by 5 points in Michigan. I doubt Biden is as cavalier about the Muslim and Arab vote as you seem to be.
He is also trailing badly in PA, AZ, and GA. And he was already in negative territory in these states before October 7. None of which have the Muslim population in Michigan. Biden has a lot more to lose by siding with pro Palestinian factions than Israel. In the first place, there are twice as many Jewish voters than Muslim voters. In the second place, the vast majority of Americans back Israel over Gaza and Hamas according to all polls. It doesnt mean support for a war but between the two sides, support is for Israel. Because they know what happened on October 7. Something the ceasefire people are strangely silent about. Especially as they have no answer for the ceasefire, namely, then what?
Then what is easy. Both sides negotiate a hostage/prisoner exchange. Then there are negotiations for resuming supplies to Gaza. And, further negotiations for every other aspect of the future.

And you're forgetting that PA and AZ have enough Jewish voters to swing the election.
As for Dearborn, I don't understand the complaints. Biden has done more for Palestinians than any president since Bush the First. And as for the Jewish complainers, none of his criticisms of Israel have been remotely controversial.
Biden's done a great job on this so far. The Israelis and Palestinians aren't cooperating but that's par for the course. At least he seems to understand the complex interconnected nature of this cluster.
He seems to understand the complex nature? Yes killing 4000 children in the name of finding one Hamas terrorist is so complex LOL. Biden is done. People are calling him Genocide Joe and rightly so! The Arabs and the African Americans are not going to show up for him and almost all Zionists vote Republican now.

He seems to be. He wants billions to help Israelis shoot down rockets. I haven’t heard any proposal to shoot down planes bombing Palestinians. If both parties are the same on foreign policy, Rs align a lot better with social policy.
Obviously no American President is going to provide an air defense system for Gaza. But, Biden is now supporting a "pause" which is another way to stop the bombing. Netanyahu told him where he can stick it, but let's see if Biden leaves it at that. I suspect Biden knows that political realities mean he needs to claim down on Netanyahu rather than continue hugging him.
He’s asking BiBi to slow down the massacre. Do you think Dearborn voters are pro-abortion? Pro lgbtq? The only difference was a slightly less miserable foreign policy, but I can’t remember a Republican declaring themselves a Zionist

Jesus Christ - Biden is a moderate who is taking a strong stand FOR Israel, repudiating the extreme leftists who are calling for him to let Hamas slaughter as many Jews as they want because of social justice or something. If anyone looks at that situation and sees this as Democrats being insufficiently pro-Israel, I don't know what to tell you. Those were people who were looking to leave Biden anyway, is what that means.
Yes. Congratulations. You have discovered what a moderate voter in a swing state is.
Of course this is about the swing state people who dislike both Trump and Biden and are looking for a reason to distance themselves from one or the other. That is precisely the group of voters we are discussing.
No. There is no true moderate who is looking at Biden's Israel policies and deciding that this time they're just going to have to give it to Trump. You're absolutely nuts if you think that is happening.
Lots of us moderates are real sick and tired of the far left. And luckily Biden is not part of that end of our party!

These elections don't come down to districts, though - the votes are counted state-wide. It doesn't take that many Muslim voters to decide they hate Jews just that much, to swing things in Michigan. I really hope that they will be made up for by moderate voters who would rather eat glass than go back to Trump. I guess we'll see.
Moderates love low inflation, rapidly growing economies, a stable banking system, world peace through strength, energy independence, a full petroleum reserve, a full supply of ammunition, a military that can recruit, higher ACT scores, fewer covid deaths than Biden, fewer vaccine deaths than Biden, higher life expectancies, a more influential reserve currency….
Trump looks golden.

The protesting in DC right now is not helping Biden or the Democrats.
They are protesting Biden you twit
NP.

I think you'll find that just like most Democrats are not AOC, most Republicans aren't Lauren Boebert. In other words, if you occupied a centrist position as a Democrat, you'll find that being a centrist republican isn't that far of a reach.

You think all the congressional democrats immediately come here to sway this obscure set of people? Okay.
?
I think Jews and anyone baffled by the rabid antisemitism happening on campus was upset by how many Dems voted against rather a commonsense statement to the point of jumping ship. I can see why a Jewish person might make this a benchmark for evaluating future candidates.
