It works with homeless people too- the second I sense someone is angling toward me about to request money I cut them off with 'can you spare 73 cents?' They kind of figure out their own problems after that.

It is so interesting to me that this post gets a ton of support where I read it and think - sure - but op is clearly kind of an ***h**e, and then you see other posts where the poster is like 'my husband hasn't had a job in ten years and I was frustrated with him over dinner' and ppl are like 'YOU MARRIED HIM LADY, GIVE THE DUDE A BREAK'

I'm interested in this post because I would NEVER do this and if i did we would fight for days and i think that is maybe why i get relied on for EVERYTHING.
