Some people are so unfulfilled in their personal lives that they think they can derive some sense of satisfaction by looking down their noses at politicians with whom they disagree. They don't realize that everyone else sees it as a sad, pathetic plea for attention. I pity them and their loved ones.

I love all the “progressives” on this thread excusing his behavior because he’s “mentally ill” and completely ignoring that it was a lifetime of hard drug use that has turned him violent and unstable. He is a violent drug addict who has repeatedly terrorized this neighborhood. Not someone who had a one-off mental health episode. Excusing this as a “mental health crisis” does nothing to help him or the community.

Just shrug now. Used this call police, not anymore. They’d maybe show up or not, usually she was gone when they arrived. A couple times they gave her some sweatpants to put on and sent her on her way.
We don’t call anymore. There’s no point in it.

The MPD doesn't care and the USAO keeps letting criminals go free. The voters of DC have no blame to bare on this - we can't make cops do their jobs (short of making example of them) and the DC USAO has been refusing to prosecute for the last 7 years.

Wouldn’t matter because everyone involved would blow you off. I truly do think SOME police care about crimes like this BUT their hands are tied by the fact that it’s very hard to force people into treatment, plus even if you arrest and take them to jail the perp won’t be prosecuted.
There is only one way to find out if you will be blown off and that is to report. Every time. I cannot imagine that you watched a woman do these things at least 24 separate times, in the window of a school, but didn't report. This is what is wrong with society. Report, every time.
The police are telling people not to. They wouldn’t even take reports last few times I tried. They have clearly been directed to avoid it.
