If you don’t want to be objectified, don’t put all of your objects on display.

Most of these girls by me are wearing very un-sexy clothes the rest of the time. Oversized giant sweatshirts and shirts that cover shorts. They look totally different one night for homecoming, but the rest of the time it’s giant shirts, pajama bottoms, and sloppy hair. So what if they want to get glammed up one night a year?

Glammed up doesn’t have to mean revealing.

I wonder why the men and boys aren’t racing to attend formal events in their underclothes.

What is being revealed in these dresses? Body shape? Arms? Legs? The same thing revealed in a swim suit? Or leotard? Or volleyball shorts? Or many other things girls wear?

I noticed you didn’t respond to my question. Where are the boys and men revealing full thigh, bare arms and shoulders, and upper pecs?

In their wrestling unis, Pearl.

Why not at the club or homecoming, Pickmesha?

Because the girls don’t really care about the guys. They are just another accessory.

So your claim is that girls wear revealing clothing because they “really don’t care about the guys”.

I’m not I’ve heard anything less convincing in my entire life. Are you 13?

Girls aren’t doing it for the guys they’re doing it for the Insta likes and to compete with the other girls. They just want to prove that they can get the guy and the other one can’t. Once they have the guy he no longer has value, he is just collateral damage and

You can find slip dresses and short dresses that don’t make you look cheap.

No one on this threat complaining has a teen daughter going to the homecoming dance. It’s just not the big deal that it once was or that they are making it out to be. I’m thrilled the dresses are cheap and the girls are wearing sneakers! Saves me money on something they are wearing for 3 hours. If it falls apart in hour 4, I could not care less.

So yeah, mini is definitely what’s in style.

The hem makes it look homemade. The zipper is cheap. The bunching shows it’s ill fitting. That’s the main problem with these throwaway dresses.

Wtf is wrong with you picking on what girls wear to a dance? Are we sitting here making fun of what boys wear? No. We let them be. We respect their choices. We let them enjoy their boy fun. So let girls be! 😤

Someone said there was a line out the door at one of those type of stores so they do care. I don’t think they realize how tacky their dresses are. I would care but luckily my girls listened when we discussed quality of clothing mattered. And it’s not always expensive.
