He jumbled a bunch of talking points during a debate.
He clearly was saying surging agents to process asylum seekers.
And guess what? Very few immigrants qualify for that.
You are trying to spin. And, failing completely.
During the debate here are his exact words:
“I would in fact make sure that there is, that we immediately surge to the border — all those people are seeking asylum. They deserve to be heard,” Biden said. “That’s who we are. We’re a nation that says, ‘If you want to flee and you’re fleeing oppression, you should come.’ “
I’ve watched it. It’s clear he’s jumbling talking points. And he is clearly specifically talking about asylum seekers. Which most entering through Mexico are not. Try again.
South Americans and people from the Guatemala and El Salvador have learned to claim asylum. It doesn't matter if they are qualified or not, just that they make the claim
And then they eventually get kicked out.
Do they? They have years before the hearing and then they become undocumented when they either no show or just ignore the results.
Then be sure to vote for people who will approve the spending that it requires to hire people needed to process them quickly. Ask yourself why won’t the GOP support that? Because they benefit from the crisis.
They are processed and released, what’s the point?
Best to keep them out so that they can’t even make their bogus claims.
How do you plan to keep them from coming?
I keep asking and no one answers
I think it will need time and the word to spread that it has become difficult. Why not come if there is an app for it and you don’t need to remain in Mexico?
So, make sure that no one is crossing the border. Whoever approaches an officer or a point of entry to ask for asylum remains in Mexico and waits in less than stellar conditions.
No need to separate the kids, keep families together, pour money into basic medical help and some food and a basic security but nothing more.
Some legislative changes are needed but not sure it’s possible.
Democrats should stop even mentioning the path to legal status/citizenship.
Remain in Mexico policy is something that was realistic. Reinstate and expand.

That is not quite what I remember. Chaotic? Sure. Incompetent often? Sure. But... really? Do people genuinely believe Trump is going to round up military generals and have them executed?
Come on, people. At this point it's clear the D hysteria and derangement is more dangerous than Trump. And that is probably why people are voting for him, they are more afraid of what the Democrats have done to "save democracy" than anything Trump can do.
And maybe people are afraid that Trump's DOJ will investigate and find out that plenty of figures broke laws and abused processes in order to save democracy from Trump and that is what they will be prosecuted for.
Almost everyone I know who works as a civil servant and is fairly high up had at least one story of having to push back hard and several times when one of his appointees asked them to do something illegal. His solution, should he be re-elected, is to reclassify that tier as schedule F so they can fire them en masse.

Hitler was democratically elected and you might want to take a look back at what happened in Germany from 1933-1939. Report back.

Trump is a symptom of bigger issues - ones that aren't easily fixed or perhaps are not fixable in the foreseeable future. I think the USA is in decline and it's going to get worse before it gets better. I believe the EU is going to start to leave us behind permanently if we re-elect Trump and they will become the dominant world power.
It's very clear that our governmental structure has held together over time on the principle of self-policing/honor system. I don't think it can withstand another off the rails administration - Trump or otherwise. There will be nice pockets of the USA aligned to the politics of the people who live there. Perhaps we can live with that level of fracture. We'll see. I just want my kids to have options.
Right wingers are in Europe too. Do you honestly feel more comfortable dealing with the ones in Europe than in the US?

Now it’s a bunch of dumb paid trolls here to boost all immigration threads with pure stupidity.
I’m so glad that other people can perceive what feels like an organized thing.

Look how far we’ve fallen since Gary Hart couldn’t get elected because of the photo of Donna Rice sitting on his lap. Now we have a deranged, lying, hateful, criminal, idiot, and he will win….
You are not wrong.
It is sad that the current admin alienated so many by throwing free money around and increasing inflation, by hiring diversity candidates who have no idea what they are doing, by encouraging bogus asylum claims, and failing to prevent the war in ukraine by effing up the Russia relations.
+1. At this point I can never see myself voting for a Democrat again.
+2. Same here. #WalkAway
Take note, everyone. This will be their new push to encourage apathy. Don’t let these trolls convince you apathy is a choice. Vote. Democracy is not a spectator sport.
This “#WalkAway” BS is not new. It’s fake, but not new.
PS Hashtags don’t work here, fools.
