SR has around 65 girls in each middle school class, about 50 of them with continue into SR high school and they will be joined by 50 new girls. The current varsity head coach starts working with the 5th grade club lacrosse players to develop her team 4 years in advance. Visi has to take whoever comes through the door in 9th grade. Maybe Potomac and SSSAS are also working with their middle schoolers this way, I don’t know, but it’s an impressive operation they have going.

Pretty sure SSSAS invented this way.

Of course there will be a dad coach this Spring.

Visi’s program will gradually suffocate itself after this spring, they can’t get out of their own ways.

Can’t imagine any top 2028 will even consider Visi for admissions and their 2027 class is average.

ISL will turn into a two horse race between SR and the Saints from here on out.

Expect to see Potomac and Holy Child continue to climb.

The lack of any pushback on any of these and similar prior points lead me to believe they are likely on target. What a shame such a great program is on the verge of collapse.

I can't comment on the Visi coaching but I think many of these schools can be competitive in the ISL AA, including Visi. Visi will always have the advantage of having the largest pool of girls (biggest HS) with multi-generational alum families dedicated to the school who wouldn't consider sending their daughters elsewhere. My point is that the forum tends to write off teams before they start and there are surprises. Take a look at the various ISL sports this fall. Yes, strong programs are strong but there are dark horses too. Everyone knows their little corner of the world but aren't paying attention to what is going on elsewhere.
