Maybe you aren't aware, but kids these days are saturated with porn they're watching on their phones. The nudity in this movie is practically rated G to the stuff they're consuming these days.

I agree the sex scenes with his mentally unwell communist girl friend played by Florence Pugh were unnecessary in this movie - the movie was too long and those scenes were not necessary to story line - plus she seemed too intelligent to be reduced to male genius’ side hustle.

I just watched it recently because I wanted to see it at home, and I am glad I did.
Some of the political intricacies were hard to follow for me and I had to rewind and turn on subtitles.
I thought nudity was completely unnecessary.
Overall the movie gives so much food for thought and it is very much on point in today’s atmosphere.
The dangers of wiffle waffling, the question of checks and balances once a powerful weapon is created (and do we involve our adversaries who were also our allies at some point?); how regular people are just pawns and collateral damage, and how decisions on who lives and who dies are based on whims of those in power (Strauss striking Kyoto off the list of cities considered for destruction is imho one one the most powerful moments).
Gary Oldman has a small role but he is great in it and his performance and script conveys so much about so many of those in power.
It’s fascinating to watch the film amid two wars happening currently. I thought it had powerful messages that would be unpopular if pronounced here on DCUM

I had no idea who Oppenheimer was prior to seeing it and did find the plot of who the spy was difficult to follow but understood ultimately it was showing a loyalty and tolerance of differences that Oppenheimer was not shown.
As someone who works in the government in a political function, it made me sick to see how Oppenheimer was punished for associations when there was no evidence of him joining the communist party or advancing foreign communist agendas. The nudity with Florence Pugh was to demonstrate his strongest tie to communism and how the RDJr character was able to take him down in the sectet hearings.
The movie did an incredible job showing how the desperation of WWII and the need to demonstrate that the US knew how to use nuclear weapons forced Hiroshima. It shows how once the pandoea box of potential was opened in science we had to go there and how it was inevitable through Oppenheimer's conversations.
It also does a great job for today's audience under the influence of the great liar to understand the truth comes out and history will not fondly on those who are blindly enabling Trumps ego.
It also is hopeful in that we have not used nuclear weapons again. Its been almost 80 years now. As bad and disive as the world seems, we all have enough sense not to play this game.
It also must be very cool for all people in psychics to have this blockbuster.
Cannot recommend enough.
