any more intel? anyone from Next Level?

At least 4 that I know of from Next Level (one for sure on Blue). Possibly more Stars players on Orange than the 5/6 and that number would increase based on waitlist.

Like her or not the fact remains that KJ has won more games and has had more girls play in college than any other girls coach on the planet. Do what you will with that info.

Thinking the same thing. I would assume not all will accept CLC O. If Pride only loses 5-7 vs 10+ in the prior 2 years that could be a very good team when they add some others who did not make CLC.

Very unlikely anyone from 27 Pride Red is going back to 27 Pride Red. That team was a mess. I imagine Stars will be the landing spot for the ones that didn't make Blue or Orange.

Okay Stars dad. Why would they go to Stars? Both teams were already vastly inferior to Pride, and they just got much worse. There really is no Stars team left.

Actually, a Pride 27 Red Mom. Talk to anyone on the team. Lots of micro issues that have added up to a larger issue(s). Many will be happy to leave, even if Stars isn't incredible.

So if your kid is on the team, I’ll ask you. What are the issues? Please be specific. Just saying there are issues is meaningless. All clubs have issues.

And what makes you think Stars doesn’t have the same or worse issues? There have been lots of complaints on this board about Stars management and coaching. And now that the best Stars players are gone, what is left? They were much worse than Pride before those kids left.

And Stars has no recruiting track record. Their 2025 team is ranked 135, so that is not going to change anytime soon.

Maybe not but Stars has Kathy Jenkins and Kristen Carr. Recruiting is allllll about relationships and between those two they know EVERYONE in college lacrosse. If a girl shows promise they can get her committed.

Don’t be fooled. Relationships only help at the margins with clubs that are established as pipelines for recruits, like Capital, M&D, etc. College coaches pick up the phone from these clubs.

I’m not fooled. My kid is in college. If you think a college coach doesn’t answer a call from KJ or KC, you are crazy.

This so made me laugh. Not every college coach likes kj. To the point that they will take a public kid versus a sssa kid.

Public school kid from LI or MD.....

I am curious about this as well....

They carry 22+-. For the 26's I would assume fewer than 5 (and that might be generous) new girls make Orange. There might be some movement between blue and orange, but unless you are off the charts it is extremely unlikely a new player will make CLC B.

Can you please elaborate on this?

In recruiting, grades DO matter! So if your daughter is struggling academically, she will need to put in the work in the classroom first. A few girls each year lose opportunities because of lack luster grades and test scores.

Coaches know if you can't be successful juggling your high school workload with sports-you are a risk to succeed as a happy college athlete. You need to make the grades at most schools to play.

Have you been told you are on a waitlist? Have any thanks but no thanks emails gone out for 27 yet?

If she’s on a waitlist, she should be trying out for other clubs—go where you are wanted/needed/valued for what you can contribute and/or where coaching staff sees potential to develop. Players develop physically and on the field at different ages so finding the right fit hopefully keeps things fun and even at the competitive HS level, if they’re not having fun they might burn out and quit. As for w/l movement at any club it depends on needs for position(s), connections, etc. Don’t know the CLC management but it wouldn’t hurt to reach out and she where she stands and express it’s her top choice if that the case. If she’s high on their list it could help make their job easier when they start pulling from that list. Best of luck-it’s never easy to watch your child be upset but there are plenty of great clubs out there, especially if you’re willing to drive to MD or south to YJS or Cavlax.

I have to express my sincere hope--maybe prayer--that I'm no longer reading these threads when my youngest is in college.
