You are creating an issue out of nothing. This is why people, especially the younger generations, are not voting for republicans and becoming less religious.
Target is not selling any Satanic-themed clothing in its stores, not to adults, and certainly not to children. The designer behind the merchandise is also not a "Satanist" and says the t-shirt was created to be campy and satirical-something the right-wing has shown they cannot understand.

Congratulations, you look like a damn fool.
Target has lost $9B in market cap since this issue broke.
Your problem is that you think people have to be religious ans hard right to think it's demented to dress babies as Satanic trans activists.
As long as the left continues to talk about people who cringe at or are repulsed by this kind of stuff like they are evangelicals, they will continue to alienate people. The evangelical hard right does not to $9B worth of damage. This is the mainstream who is like, hey I'm good with LGBTQ stuff but I draw the line at satanic trans babies.
Honestly, PP, this "satanic" stuff is so normie now that it's almost too basic. It's tongue in cheek. It's the tiniest bit salty. You sound like Church Lady - it's just crazy out of touch.
Ok, give us your explanation of the $9B loss in market cap. Go on.
All retailers are having a rough go of it. Walmart's market cap is down $20bn in the past six months, but sure, the market is uniquely punishing Target for imaginary satanic trans babies or whatever. No doubt you'll bleat "go woke go broke" and forget that this ever happened in 3 months when Target's stock is no worse for the wear.
Christ almighty, Republicans are so, so out of touch.
Yes, the marker overall is being battered. However, Target's graph shows a stark and precipitous decline correlating with the negative news cycle about this issue, and Walmart's graph does not show a corresponding decline in the same time period. You are truly bending backward to claim that no one cares about this except small-town churchgoers and Liberty University students. But the facts don't align. People are reacting to this, and Bud Light, etc, just not for the reasons you think. It's not because their Christian morals are outraged. It's that they think this stuff is weird and demented. People are fine with gay rights, religious freedom, etc-- this is solidly mainstream. Bud Light and Target are pushing outside of the mainstream. Satanic trans activist toddlers is not yet a concept within the Overton window.
This is what I think is weird and demented. This is the America that I just do not understand. And I'd rather hang out with Satanists than these creeps. Satanists at least seem to have a sense of humor and would be fun.
DP. What an odd post. You realize you're comparing one extremist group to another, right? What do the people in this picture have to do with the everyday, "normal" American that is the subject of this thread? Zero.
I think LGBTQ people are everyday people. They are friends and family and they are not "extremists" just because of their very being.
Um, yes. But we were talking about the Satanists who came up with the t-shirt slogans. Please keep up.

So just FYI, Benny Johnson is a perfect example of someone who is SO interesting and fun for people who are Very Online -a and just doesn't exist outside of the Very Online world. If you're citing Benny Johnson, you're in a weird little MAGA loop.
But, as we keep saying - the more you stay in this strange little padded walls universe talking to each other and sure you're speaking to and for everyone, the less your chances of winning elections. Not no chance - I'll never be that cocky - but you lessen the chances for sure.

We get it. You hate gay people and think they should be hidden away so you don't have to think about them.
Well guess what. Gay people exist. They are human beings just like you are. And they have a right to exist and to live their lives. So what if there is merchandise geared toward them. Completely insane to be losing your sh!t because there's merchandise connected to the LGBTQ community. WTF. There's also merchandise geared toward hunters. And Disney lovers. And left-handers - does that freak you out? Left-handers are outliers, too.

And FWIW, the artist has been inundated with requests from others to buy their merchandise.

Your friend in that video is misrepresenting the relationship that Target has with the Satanist.

Do you realize how the stock market works? Target stock is actually trending up this morning.

How do you think your average person is going to react to tuck friendly swimsuits, Pride onesies for babies, "gender fluid" mugs, and clothing designed by a Satanist. Adidas recently used a male to model a woman's swimsuit and we all know what happened to Budlight after the Dylan Mulvaney debacle. Your normal, average person is turned off by all of this being shoved in our faces especially when kids are being targeted. If you think it is just Republicans think again.
Do you not believe in capitalism? Corporations are based on one thing and one thing alone - making money. Usually by selling something. If it doesn't sell they'll stop production.
Are you a commie who wants to regulate businesses?
No it actually has to do with the following below. Companies are rewarded for pushing this stuff because it improves their scores. Nothing to do with sales although Bud light is definitely feeling the almost 30% drop in sales.
This is a great point. When people argue that a cashless society is VERY bad news, this is why. Banks, in order to get their equity ratings, etc, up, could refuse you access to your own money if you plan to spend it on something they don’t approve of. Imagine wanting to buy a single family home and a bank now allowing you to get a mortgage for it because it’s not in an approved neighborhood, or they don’t approve of single family dwellings. Or if you have cash to purchase the home, not allowing you to withdraw the cash to do so. Don’t believe me? There are banks in the UK posting signs now stating that they have the right to refuse you access to a withdrawal from your own account until it is approved by the bank.
Yes, imagine that. It actually happened once upon a time. Look up “redlining.”![]()
