I am happy chap lost but the primary system is so frustrating. About 9% of voters have selected the candidates handpicked by party activists. If more people voted, we would have different candidates in the general.

Nothing like voting for "experienced" politicians just because they’re experienced to ensure we end up with legislative bodies filled with white old men. Chap served his constituents long enough. Time for new faces, new ideas, and new approaches.

Oh, we know. We reject the fearmongering about schools, genders, and crime.

I just don't know how Chep lost. I was going to vote for him, but I had to vote for some lady, he was a good senator, he couldn't get 1400 more mothers that were happy that they didn't have to deal with the kids all day ?

I, too, am angry about all those voters who foolishly voted for the candidates running against the candidates I supported!

(Actually I'm not, I live in Maryland, and every four years, I wonder why on earth Virginia has its elections for state legislature in off-off years.)

Huh? Chap’s problem wasn’t Vienna or Fairfax City. It was the rest of his new district. He got creamed in areas like Tysons and Falls Church.
