I am in PTA board in one and I would like to make things better. This has gotten out of hand in Tilden.
I don’t know where this teacher is from. Our experience was very positive at GPES and very different at Tilden. The difference was shocking. WJ is great, thankfully.
So problem seems to coming from Luxmanor or Farm land?

I feel like this situation with the social media account and bullying has to be very specific to a certain group/circle of families. I have a 6th grade girl there and have heard none of this. Nobody should be treated the way that's being described here but I'm not sure it's indicative of the school culture.

Middle school sucks pretty much everywhere.
Yes that is true. However, that doesn’t mean that there can’t be something particularly awful about a particular school. A lot of people have a problem at Tilden and they shouldn’t be dismissed as oh middle school stinks.

Someone started an anonymous Instagram about Tilden girls and the 5 posts were so horrific. Body shaming, mean, saying a girl should have tried to kill herself better, they are ugly, etc…. Calling out specific girls by name. It was banned pretty quickly thank god but I am so embarrassed being a part of this school.
Show me a middle school without a mean girls group.
It’s a whole ‘nother level at Tilden because the parents of these girls are aware and actively assist in their DDs bullying other students.
This school seems so toxic. Are the boys as bad?

According to my eighth grade girl, yes. There were people called in to the counselor today and the account got banned quickly. I was horrified when she showed me what was posted there. The kids posting these things need some serious help.
Guarantee nothing will happen to anyone though. Moms will make sure of that. "They are just kids - all kids make mistakes"

Next you will ask - show me a school without racists and defend a very large number of students being racist along with their families.
Yes, you always have issue at every middle school, but scale of problems are not a regular middle school problem. Parents needs to be educated in Tilden.
