Anyone else get annoyed about this?
I’m sure I was sometimes tired when I was childfree.

I’m here to say that I totally get it, OP! I think I find it slightly annoying because they have way more flexibility and opportunity to address the tiredness. I’ll admit, I’m jealous of that! I am looking forward to the days when I have more freedom and flexibility again.
Everyone is allowed their feelings. OP can be annoyed by childless people complaining about how tired they are, and others can be annoyed if OP says she is tired (they may very well be thinking that perhaps OP should have thought about this before having kids).

Sorry you are so tired OP, and sorry you couldn’t even vent on a parenting site without attracting such negativity. This thread and the one about switching seats on a plane for families who separated….man a lot of negative “you close to have kids” takes.
If OP had merely said that she was tired, she’d have gotten much more support. But she chose to lash out at others and put herself in a position of superiority. We’re calling her out on it. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.
DP - the OP isn’t dishing anything out, since she’s not telling people without kids IRL how annoying they are. She’s venting on an anonymous *parenting* website, FFS. Who lurks on parenting websites for the purpose of snapping at parents?
OP here. I have not been back for a while. I’m really surprised how many people are offended that I was annoyed at a coworker for being tired for partying.
Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving. There are some angry unhappy people on here.

I used to think I was tired too.
International travel? Night out? Big work project?
At the end of it, you can sleep sleep sleep and recover.
You can't fathom life with kids till you're in it.
Well. I knew before getting pregnant that pregnancy was not fun and that giving birth hurt like hell. I also knew that being a parent was no.bed of roses and that there were sacrifices. Too bad so many of you were so stupid.
You seem illiterate. No one said they assumed it was a "bed of roses."
It is just a different level of tiredness etc than being childfree. Not sure why ppl seem to be disagreeing?

I wish I could board my kids for a few days or hire a neighbor to come and walk them a couple times a day while we go to Europe. Unfortunately, the answer for us is we just can't go to Europe unless we bring the kids.
Op here. I had a coworker who told me his puppy was harder than having a newborn.
